Job Title: Manager – Legal Business Services

Role Overview
As a Manager in KPMG’s Legal Business Services (LBS) team, you will lead client delivery across legal transformation projects, driving innovation in contract management, legal technology, and operating model design. You will play a pivotal role in helping clients embed legal into business processes, harnessing AI and automation, and redesigning their legal supply chains.

This is a client-facing leadership role, with responsibility for scoping, designing, and delivering engagements, as well as developing our propositions and helping to grow the LBS business.

What you will do

Lead client engagements, from diagnostics to delivery, applying our methodologies.
Design target legal operating models and implement transformation roadmaps
Oversee legal technology implementation projects, ensuring effective integration into enterprise systems (e.g. CLM, AI, Matter and Spend Management)
Drive managed services design and transition, enabling scalable delivery of contracting and legal processes.
Facilitate client workshops to capture requirements and prioritise initiatives by value, risk, and feasibility.
Contribute to business development through proposals, thought leadership, and pre-sales support.

Leadership & Management

The KPMG North Regional tax team is a fast growing part of the KPMG tax practice and we are looking for a Manager with a proven track record who is seeking a dynamic and challenging working environment within a strong, supportive team. What will you be doing?

Being one of the main points of contact on a portfolio of clients on day-to-day tax matters and working with Partners, Directors and Senior Managers on our larger client accounts
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and understanding the client’s business
Managing tax advisory projects by providing UK corporation tax input and overseeing the successful delivery of commercially viable and technically excellent advice including working with other areas of tax and our overseas members firms to incorporate their input into our advice
Ensuring our clients are kept up to date with emerging corporate and wider tax developments impacting their business
Managing the delivery of UK corporation tax compliance services
Supervising the work of junior members of staff and providing coaching to support their development.
Assisting our Partners, Directors and Senior Managers with client account management, including complying with appropriate quality and risk management procedures and financial management

KPMG’s Financial Services Indirect Tax practice currently services a broad range of clients, providing both VAT and Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) services. The team undertakes both compliance and advisory services. Over the last 12 months the team has been successful in winning a number of new, exciting projects. In order to deliver the projects already won and the additional projects we expect to win, we are looking to recruit motivated individuals who have existing Indirect Tax experience, are interested in the financial services sector, would like the opportunity to assume responsibility for client delivery and are keen to build their knowledge of businesses operationally.
