Indirect Tax - VAT

KPMG has one of the leading Indirect Tax practices in the UK. Our 22 Partners and approximately 200 professionals provide advice and support in all aspects of Indirect Tax (VAT, Customs Duty, Environmental Taxes) to a broad range of business sectors including large multi-nationals, household name retailers and public sector organisations.

Our Infrastructure Advisory Group (IAG) advises major public and private sector infrastructure and asset-intensive organisations across all sectors, including Natural Resources, Energy, Power, Utilities, Transport, Oil and Gas, Defence, Health and Education. We are strengthening our Strategic Delivery Partner capability to meet increasing demand from these organisations in support for how to use data, analytics and technology to unlock value from their assets and infrastructure. This is a fast-growing area offering exciting opportunities, building upon our global capabilities in Infrastructure, Asset Management and Data Analytics. The Team

We are currently recruiting Tax Assistant Managers to join our successful Family Office & Private Client team based in the South (Bristol/Reading). 

As a national practice our FO&PC team consists of approximately 150 team members across the UK, led by 9 Partners and 15 Directors. 
We work with a variety of high net worth individuals – from stakeholders in privately owned and entrepreneurial businesses, executives of multi-national firms, landed estates and senior members of private equity firms; who may be tax resident and/or domiciled in a range of jurisdictions. We also specialise in providing advice to Trusts and Estates, and Partnerships. 
If you are a highly motivated qualified tax adviser/ accountant (ATT, CTA or ACA/ACCA) with experience of working in personal tax, then we’d love to hear from you.  We recognise that there are also highly motivated individuals who are qualified though experience and may not be exam qualified and we are open to considering such individuals also. 

The Privacy team is at the forefront of ensuring KPMG is compliant with the legislative and regulatory obligations outlined in data protection law. 

Operating in the 2nd Line of Defence as a Data Privacy Manager, you will support the delivery of the privacy compliance programme, empowering teams across the firm to navigate complexities of data protection and privacy compliance, helping to minimise risk.   

You will enable teams to assess engagements, processes and technologies for privacy compliance, including those leveraging transformational technologies such as Generative AI.  You will help drive internal compliance with KPMG’s obligations under Data Protection (GDPR, UKDPA) and Privacy of Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

The Data Privacy Manager will apply their data protection and privacy skills to perform all relevant duties as part of the Data Privacy Office Operating Model
