• Banking Accounting Advisory (BAA) is a team of Banking and Financial Services technical accounting specialists with extensive experience delivering expert accounting advisory services, financial reporting and regulatory change projects to major Tier-1 global banks, challenger banks and building societies.

• We have deep expertise in complex accounting within the Banking and Financial Services sector such as IFRS 9, hedge accounting, securitisations and other structured transactions, derivatives, and deal accounting for mergers and acquisitions and group reorganisations.

• We also provide SME advice on the critical interactions between IFRS and PRA/EBA regulatory regimes.

What will you be doing?

• Assist with the management of client opportunities, deliver live engagements and provide input into larger multi-disciplinary teams.

KPMG’s Infrastructure Group in the UK consists of c400 professionals and is widely recognised as one of the world’s leading independent business, financial and regulatory advisers in infrastructure.
We provide in-depth advice on strategic, financial, regulatory and commercial issues driving investments in infrastructure across Transport, Power & Utilities, and Social Infrastructure in the UK and globally. Our work includes market and policy design, economic and regulatory analysis, deal structuring and execution, as well as strategic and transaction advice to enable private and public capital to fund infrastructure. We work closely with other functions within KPMG to advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, valuations, tax, accounting, and due diligence.
 

This role is for an innovative professional at Associate Director level, who can work alongside our existing team to use their lived experience of construction and commercial acumen to solve complex problems.

You will be responsible for helping to grow and deliver our MPA business, working with our leadership team, client organisations and other KPMG teams to develop our cost intelligence capability and the value proposition in this space. This will leverage your previous experience across capex efficiency, estimating, benchmarking, cost analytics and advisory work on policy and procedure in projects and programmes across the infrastructure sectors, all supported by a team of specialists in MPA.

The MPA team in the UK are based in London, Birmingham and Manchester. This role will be based in one of these locations but will require travel to client locations throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.

The Role
 

Cloud Director – Sales Leadership - Financial Services Sector

At KPMG, you will bring your industry knowledge and technology experience to map customer business challenges to on-premise and cloud technology solutions, shape end-to-end transformational journeys, and deliver real business value to our key Corporates clients. In this role, you will be part of some very exciting client engagements, lead pre-sales activities/proposals and be responsible for delivering our portfolio of technology solutions, whilst maintaining deep executive-level client relationships.
 
As part of this leadership role, you will also inherently lead our brilliant teams, and coach and mentor junior members in their own career progressions whilst contributing to our overall go-to-market activities through building the KPMG brand and being visible as a leading advisor within our clients, the market, and our alliance partners.
 
The Cloud Director role will have the following responsibilities:

• Be visible and seen as an expert in cloud transformation (including Hybrid & Multi-cloud) by the market and alliance partners alike
• Contribute to developing our financial services market growth in cloud transformation, with market facing propositions and assets, building both the KPMG and your personal brand
• Build close working relationships and be a trusted advisor to the C-suite leaders at our financial services clients, focusing on business challenges and opportunities, cloud transformation and more broadly their end-to-end technology journey
• Lead business development opportunities as a core focus in the financial services market through shaping and selling of complex, multi-stakeholder advisory and implementation services around cloud transformation
• Organize, monitor, and lead programme delivery, outcomes, and resources in large transformation programmes
• Design and build roadmaps, implementation strategies, transformation plans and high-quality assets targeting cloud solutions for the customer organisation with the aid of delivery managers, sales colleagues, and senior customer stakeholders
• Contribute to our wider capability group by developing new services and our people
   

The Person
 

• Excellence in consulting skills, with the ability to present complex solutions to business executives. Previous experience in a large consulting organisation is a plus
• Proven business development experience, leading client proposals and RFP’s for cloud transformation and migration projects
• Have the experience and gravitas to build a deep trusted advisor relationship with C-level client stakeholders to guide them how to progress their cloud journey
• Experience doing application migrations including
