We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our CLR Audit team.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day high-quality delivery of audit engagements from planning through to completion.

Alongside audit delivery work, you will also supervise junior team members, and provide coaching and development to help them reach their full potential. This will include planning and reviewing their work to ensure the work quality is to a high standard. 

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of stakeholder relationships at audited entities and can expect to work with senior level staff.

You will work closely with the Audit Manager, Senior Manager, Director and Partner, ensuring that they are kept up to date with progress, involving them on a timely basis in all phases of the audit and when issues arise. 

You will work in teams delivering either financial statement audit; technology audit; audit related data, analytics and tools; independent assurance over other info such as regulatory/ESG/internal controls; learning and development; quality/risk/knowledge management; and/or specialist, technical accounting advice (non-audited entities only).

Our 21 Partners and approximately 200 professionals provide advice and support in all aspects of Indirect Tax (VAT, Customs Duty, Environmental Taxes) to a broad range of business sectors including large multi-nationals, household name retailers and public sector organisations.
Within the National Markets Indirect Tax team we have specialists in sectors such as Retail, Supply Chain and International Trade, FS, Public Sector, Leisure and Travel. The majority of the team specialise in VAT but we also have Trade and Customs and Environmental Tax specialists within the team. The role of the Integration & Dev Ops Enterprise Architect is to develop the UK Firm’s integration & DevOps technology strategy and translate this into a roadmap that determines our investment priorities and transformation portfolio. The integration strategy needs to promote a seamless, end-to-end customer and employee experience by enabling the efficient creation and modification of effective and reusable integration components. In particular, the strategy should promote the use of modern, Cloud-based technologies; Infrastructure as Code (IaC), support typical integration use cases; create an operating model that satisfies the demands of the business for integration design, development, testing and release; and establish an integration catalogue that supports the reuse of new technologies, whilst targeting legacy integrations for decommissioning. The Integration & Dev Ops Enterprise Architect should also help to execute and govern the strategy, by helping solution architects and projects to design solutions that are fit for purpose and conform to our standards and patterns.
