We have exciting plans to further grow our Education Skills and Productivity business, but our success and reputation depends upon the quality and integrity of our services - and our people.  We are now seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Enterprise Risk team, specialising in the assurance and review of Further Education funding.

The Role

The role will work almost exclusively on the review, audit and investigation of further education funding and data. We work with the Department for Education (previously the Education and Skills Funding Agency) and a range of College, University and independent training providers to assess their compliance with the DfE funding rules and requirements. You will therefore demonstrate extensive experience of the DfE/ESFA funding rules and requirements and the related IT tools and systems.

We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our midlands business working with a wide variety of clients both within the midlands region and nationally.

The Responsibilities

  • Supervising and coaching junior members of staff to help them realise their full potential
  • Keeping managers and partners up to date with the progress of your team
  • Acting as a first choice point of contact throughout the year for your clients and managing project costs, raising fees and agreeing dates for cash collection
  • Drafting key documents and presenting to clients
  • Keeping up to date with KPMG's product and service offerings and identifying the sales opportunities that will help us grow our advisory work.
  • To work as part of a team or run funding audits, reporting directly to the senior manager or partner.
