Tax Assistant Manager - Audit & Accounting Related Tax Services

The role

• Acting as the day-to-day contact on audit and tax reporting engagements, liaising with audit teams, the client and AARTS/tax managers
• Reviewing, testing and documenting technical tax disclosures prepared by clients and their independent advisers
• Delegating delivery of work to junior colleagues whilst maintaining control of quality and timetables.
  Developing and maintaining client relationships across a portfolio of clients.
• Developing and maintaining internal relationships with the audit teams, and other departments.
• Mentoring and developing of junior members of staff.
• Keep up to date and share technical insights with rest of AARTS team.

KPMG’s Fixed Asset Tax Services Team (capital allowances) is made up of tax advisers, accountants, chartered surveyors and ex-HMRC inspectors who deliver expert advice to a broad range of clients across almost every industry sector. As one of the largest teams in the industry, our continued investment and desire to grow means that we seek a capital allowances specialist in Scotland.

Our team works with clients ranging from owner-managed businesses to large multinational organisations. We are seeking a Senior Manager to join our Scotland team who has a background in capital allowances, tax or accounting. The work is varied and will be across a number of sectors.

Our team works with clients from owner managed businesses, to large multinational organisation, and we are looking for a Senior Manager with a strong information technology background to assist clients across a suite of innovation advisory services including R&D tax credits, Patent Box, R&D Allowances, Grants and Innovation Advisory services.
 

KPMG’s Pensions Advisory business continues to build out its new pensions team, and requires individuals that can bring different skill-sets to the team.

We are now looking for talented and experienced Assistant Manager to join our Defined Contribution pensions team. You will be responsible for delivering high quality pensions advice in relation to DC pension schemes with a focus on the private sector but also schemes in the public sector.

You will be responsible for will work closely with the senior members of the team in this service line, which will involve:

• Scheme strategy and structure across workplace pensions
• Member engagement and education
• Investment policy
• Governance, including setting up governance committees
• Wider benefit and reward strategy
• Financial coaching and well-being
• Statutory auto-enrolment compliance and implementation
• Compliance

You will have responsibility for maintaining the day-to-day relationships with clients and ensuring delivery to agreed timescales.

You will have responsibility for supervising junior team members, providing coaching and developmental support to assist them in the delivery of engagements.

We are looking for a talented Consultant to join our team, who will be responsible for working closely with colleagues in the area of defined contribution pensions. Specific areas of focus, but not exhaustive, will include

• Investment policy

• Wider benefit and reward strategy
