Power & Utilities (P&U), led by Dr Matt Firla-Cuchra, counts c85 FTEs is the largest business area of the IAG and encompasses work for major clients in the sector, including all UK utilities as well as some of the largest energy and water companies in Europe and beyond. We provide in-depth strategic and technical advice on strategy and business planning and analysis, corporate finance and corporate financial management, regulatory policy, cost assessment and benchmarking as well as in other areas to help our clients create value for both shareholders and customers. The KPMG Private Client tax team is a fast-growing and integral part of the wider KPMG tax practice. In order to support further growth we are looking to appoint a Senior Manager in Bristol. We are looking for excellent candidates with a proven track record in this area who are seeking a dynamic and supportive working environment to help deliver these solutions. You would be expected to lead the delivery of a quality output to our clients and participate in winning new clients by bringing new offerings to the market. Your client base would include a portfolio of high net worth clients, entrepreneurs, shareholders and international individuals.

Overview

This exciting role is within our London Region Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team, based in our Gatwick office. 

Our clients include UK headquartered businesses and inbound groups across a range of sectors. 

Our work in the tax advisory space includes supporting clients with business and fiscal change. This can include advising on new jurisdiction entry, the development of new business areas, business reorganisations, tax authority enquiries, pre/post transaction reorganisations, refinancing, cash repatriation, interest deductibility and the impact global fiscal change (e.g. BEPS Pillar 2).

We work as a hybrid team where we get together in the office or at client sites at least twice a week to collaborate and learn together, with flexibility over how you spend the rest of your time. 

The Role

• Being one of the main points of contact on a portfolio of clients on day-to-day tax matters and working with Senior Managers and Managers on our larger client accounts
• Supporting on tax advisory projects by providing UK corporation tax input based on experience and researching topics and by working with other areas of tax and our overseas members firms to incorporate their input into our advice
• Ensuring our clients are kept up to date with emerging corporate and wider tax developments impacting their business
• Supporting on the delivery of UK corporation tax compliance services
• Supervising the work of junior members of staff and providing coaching to support their development.
• Assisting our Managers and Senior Managers with client account management, including complying with appropriate quality and risk management procedures and financial management
• Support the leadership with business development opportunities

The person

• Qualified CTA or ACA / CA or equivalent

• UK corporation tax experience

The UK ServiceNow Alliance Lead is responsible for managing and developing the strategic partnership between KPMG and ServiceNow, focusing on driving business growth by leveraging ServiceNow solutions to deliver client services across various industries, including identifying new sales opportunities, leading joint go-to-market initiatives, and ensuring seamless integration between KPMG's expertise and ServiceNow's technology offerings.

We require an outstanding Alliance professional, with extensive client facing experience, knowledge of the people and propositions associated with ServiceNow and the sales leadership skills to drive the growth that the ServiceNow business presents to KPMG.
