Assistant Manager, Further Education Funding

The Team

KPMG has one of the leading Education Skills and Productivity practices in the UK working across all key service lines. Our teams work extensively in the Further and Higher Education sectors on a range of significant projects for Government, Regulators and education providers.

We have exciting plans to further grow our Education Skills and Productivity business, but our success and reputation depends upon the quality and integrity of our services - and our people.  We are now seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Enterprise Risk team, specialising in the assurance and review of Further Education funding.

The Role

The role will work almost exclusively on the review, audit and investigation of further education funding and data. We work with the Department for Education (previously the Education and Skills Funding Agency) and a range of College, University and independent training providers to assess their compliance with the DfE funding rules and requirements. You will therefore demonstrate extensive experience of the DfE/ESFA funding rules and requirements and the related IT tools and systems.

We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our midlands business working with a wide variety of clients both within the midlands region and nationally.

  • Drafting key documents and presenting to clients
  • Keeping up to date with KPMG's product and service offerings and identifying the sales opportunities that will help us grow our advisory work.
  • To work as part of a team or run funding audits, reporting directly to the senior manager or partner.

Our work includes market and policy design, economic analysis, deal structuring and execution, as well as strategic and transaction advice to enable private and public capital to fund infrastructure. We provide in depth strategic and technical advice on corporate finance issues, corporate financial management; regulatory finance, regulatory policy, business and financial planning, as well as other issues affecting value. We are widely recognised by many industry stakeholders as one of the most innovative advisors influencing the future of the sector.
