Lead Digital Experience Analyst

Role Purpose

Reporting into the Head of Digital Experiences, the role of a Lead Digital Experience Analyst is to ensure that both the internal KPMG UK Technology function and, where relevant, other functions, deliver an efficient, effective, and consistent employee experience across all touchpoints and at all stages of relevant employee journeys.

Our model is to start with the user experience and progress towards developing solutions with technology SMEs – however digital technology is at the heart of the KPMG UK colleague experience; therefore, an understanding of KPMG UK data and technology solutions is key to Experience success.

The Lead will perform the duties of a User Experience practitioner but will also be responsible for day-to-day oversight of UX activities of other team members across the UK, Bulgaria, and India. Over time the role is expected to grow to include management, training, and growth of team members.

Key Responsibilities              

  • Plan and deliver UX contributions to KPMG’s internal initiatives.
  • Elicit, collect, track, and analyse feedback and data, and suggest improvements based on the insights gathered.
  • Help to focus on generating value through its employee initiatives, with a clear performance and experience focus, ensuring that initiatives rapidly deliver value.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to support development of agile user stories and formal requirements.
  • Work closely with Digital Accessibility SMEs to ensure we meet our legal and ethical responsibilities for supporting colleagues with disabilities and long-term conditions.
  • Supporting and challenging Project Management SMEs to ensure that digital transformation projects are effectively scoped, managed & delivered on time, to budget and within agreed KPMG risk frameworks.
  • Promote the Digital Experience function in the firm.
  • Contribute to the firm’s Digital Experience strategy.
  • Oversight of larger UX initiatives, including work allocation, planning, and monitoring of junior UX Analysts.
  • Lead Digital Experience reviews of existing or proposed solutions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience of understanding and applying KPMG EWT Digital Experience strategy and processes
  • A strong knowledge of the firm’s internal technology platforms, the resulting User Experience constraints, and strategies to maximise UX within these constraints.
  • Demonstrable experience of providing oversight over other UX SMEs work on internal EWT projects.
  • Maintain a high level of practical knowledge in the application of Human-Centred Design / User Experience (UX) methods including user research, service design, UI design and branding.
  • A strong knowledge of KPMG’s EWT technology development processes.
  • Domain experience in two or more of the following: finance & engagement management, HR, User Support, and learning technologies.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity at the beginning of projects, with ability to provide clarity of direction despite this.
  • Strong knowledge of Digital Accessibility and how EWT apply this to projects.

Desirable

  • Awareness of other value-driven approaches e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Design Thinking, etc.
