Reporting to the Head of Enablement the Learning Enablement Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our learning operations. Enhancing the learner experience by identifying, managing, and resolving historical L&D processes, which in agreement with stakeholders will stop/start or continue.

You will manage and oversee process improvement, focusing on cost efficiency, leading customer service, reducing duplication and data driven insights. Our Public Sector Audit team operates across all aspect of the UK Public Sector. Our portfolio includes entities with the NHS, Central Government, Local Government, Charities, Higher Education Institutions and Social Housing.

 

Our Public Sector Audit team therefore provides you with the opportunity for specialism, whilst maintaining variety in the sectors and clients you work with. The team also deliver several Companies Act audits for subsidiary entities within their portfolio. 

 

You will have your own portfolio of large and/or complex audited entities across a range of sectors, with responsibility for agreeing audit timetables, briefing the audit team (including specialists), monitoring budgets, and supervising the KPMG audit process. The role of the SAP S/4 HANA Finance Enterprise Architect is to develop the UK Firm’s technology strategy for Finance and Engagement Management domain and translate this into a roadmap that determines our investment priorities and transformation portfolio. The technology strategy needs to promote a seamless, end-to-end customer and employee experience by enabling the efficient creation and modification of effective and reusable technology components. In particular, the strategy should promote the use of modern, Cloud-based technologies; support typical Finance use cases; challenge the business strategy based on emerging and future technology trends; and establish a catalogue that supports the reuse of new technology components, whilst targeting legacy applications and technology for decommissioning. The Role

 

As an Assistant, you will be involved in all aspects of delivering audit engagements, from planning through to completion on a broad spectrum of B2B, B2C and G&I As engagements. The role will include executive level engagement interaction and exposure to multiple engagements on an annual basis. 

 

•    Planning and execution of audit fieldwork and statutory reporting across a portfolio of engagement
•    Assisting in the project management of all aspects of audit including agreeing audit timelines, team briefings and supervision, and delivery of audit work
•    Budgeting and monitoring time spent on projects, focusing on optimising profitability
•    Identifying, researching and helping to resolve audit issues
•    Building relationships with the engagement staff and acting as an ambassador for the firm
•    Reporting to audit incharges, managers and partners on all salient points arising from audits
•    Supervising and coaching junior members of staff to help them realise their full potential
•    Keeping up to date with KPMG's product and service offerings and identifying the sales opportunities that will help us grow our business
•    Working on audit tenders and working as part of the relevant independence team on these tenders. Tasks may include reviewing global engagement records in Sentinel, analysing and categorising the records, contacting partners globally for engagement information, preparing data and drafting independence reports, and liaising with UK Ethics and Independence team
•    You may also have the opportunity to work on specific audit related projects across the audit function.

•    Minimum Grade 6 GCSE* English Language
•    Minimum of 120 UCAS points* under the 2017 tariff point system at A Level 
•    Minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline
