Defence and National Security is a KPMG priority sector. That means we are a fast-growing team which presents exciting opportunities for a Manager to lead impactful projects, drive our ambitious growth agenda and seek career progression.

We are looking for a Manager who possesses high quality consulting skills and a record of delivering outstanding results when leading complex consulting projects focused on challenges such as: business or operating model change; strategy development; strategic cost reduction and cost management; and investment decision support. The nature of projects we deliver is highly varied, which means we need our managers to demonstrate an ability to continually adapt and grow their skills and knowledge. Strong candidates will also demonstrate a firm understanding of the challenges faced by the Defence and National Security sector.

Our Financial Transformation practice is a priority area for significant and strategic growth and the team works with leading Insurance (Life and General) organisations, focusing on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of their Finance & Risk functions. The key drivers of change for our Insurance clients are Regulatory and Accounting change (including UK SOX, IFRS17, SII), Cost Reduction and Non-Financial Reporting  Transformation and our service offerings reflect this demand.

The Deal Execution team is part of KPMG’s rapidly expanding Strategy Group, which delivers value for clients by challenging conventional thinking, bringing deep industry and functional insights and executing with investor-grade rigour.  We are a diverse team of over 150 practitioners, working collaboratively with and orchestrating KPMG’s broad set of capabilities within our Deal Advisory business.

SAP S/4 HANA Finance Enterprise Architect

The role of the SAP S/4 HANA Finance Enterprise Architect is to develop the UK Firm’s technology strategy for Finance and Engagement Management domain and translate this into a roadmap that determines our investment priorities and transformation portfolio. The technology strategy needs to promote a seamless, end-to-end customer and employee experience by enabling the efficient creation and modification of effective and reusable technology components. In particular, the strategy should promote the use of modern, Cloud-based technologies; support typical Finance use cases; challenge the business strategy based on emerging and future technology trends; and establish a catalogue that supports the reuse of new technology components, whilst targeting legacy applications and technology for decommissioning. The role should also help to execute and govern the strategy, by helping solution architects and projects to design solutions that are fit for purpose and conform to our standards and patterns.

The Regulatory Finance Director provides senior leadership to the Regulatory Finance team, working closely with other Directors and Partners in P&U to lead our client engagements and lead business development activity.
