KPMG’s Pensions is an exciting initiative to re-establish the pensions team, and specifically to focus on public service pensions advisory and grow revenue at pace. We are now looking for talented and experienced Consultant to join our pensions actuarial team. You will be responsible for delivering high quality actuarial pensions advice in relation to defined benefit pension schemes in the private sector. You will be responsible for will work closely with the senior members of the team in this service line, which will involve providing: Strategic journey planning, risk management aiming for self-sufficiency or buy out and endgame options including use of surplus Strategic funding advice to sponsors and advice on compliance with DB funding code Pension due diligence on mergers and acquisitions Provision of member education and communication Advice on benefit change, benefit design and implementation Advice on good governance and compliance Pensions accounting advice

• Working with a range of businesses to lead projects related to employee issues across pay, benefits and expenses such as Off Payroll Working, voluntary disclosures, year end compliance, end to end payroll process reviews, payroll change projects, National Minimum Wage and Gender Pay Gap reporting. 
• In addition, tasks will include managing the delivery of ad-hoc employment tax advice relating to areas such as employment status reviews, termination payments, salary sacrifice and due diligences.

Role and Responsibilities

• Leading UK inbound engagements including advisory and compliance related services. 
• Overseeing service delivery including drafting and signing off advice, adhering to SLAs and KPIs, reviewing casework on an as needed basis.
• Advising on complex cross-border immigration issues. 
• Supporting the team with complex issues including escalations, delivering solutions and viable options. 
• Identifying opportunities including use of technology to solve clients’ problems and improve client service delivery, co-managing the rollout of new technology to clients.
• Participating in client proposals and presentations, identifying and maximising new opportunities across various business sectors in the UK and overseas. 
• General practice management: monitoring team members’ performance, identifying the team’s training, development and staffing requirements, ensuring the team receives sufficient support and coaching.</
