Apprenticeship Programmes: KPMG360° Business Services

KPMG’s Business Services (KBS) function is the engine room of KPMG, supporting our business through a variety of specialist areas, including Business Support, Resourcing, Recruitment, Facilities, and Learning.

It is an innovative, agile and collaborative function that delivers the right blend of services to support our client-facing colleagues in their delivery of services to our clients.

KPMG360° Business Services is a two year apprenticeship programme which will give you an overview of Business Services and how we support the wider organisation. As a new apprentice, you will be fully supported throughout the programme with guidance from KPMG teams as well as our external training provider.

Apprentices joining our London and Watford offices will undertake structured rotations around Business Services teams. This varied experience provides a unique and exciting chance to learn about the breadth of support KBS provides to enable our colleagues and clients to succeed.

With placements typically lasting 6 months at a time, you’ll really get under the skin of the work our teams do. You’ll build a truly diverse range of experience, working on everything from delivery of training courses, to the recruitment of new talent to the provision of administrative support.

Those joining our regional offices will normally be based within our Business Support Group, fulfilling the role of team secretary. Throughout your two year programme, you’ll gain exposure to our Business Services teams through varied projects and work shadowing opportunities.

All apprentices will work towards the Level Three Business Administration Apprenticeship – a recognised qualification that enables development of core business skills and knowledge, including project management, business regulation and personal development.

The programme offers an alternative entry route into our business. What’s certain is that on completion of the programme you’ll have gained hands-on experience, transferable skills, and hold a nationally-recognised qualification.

How is the programme structured?

The programme offers the chance to obtain the Level 3 Business and Administration Apprenticeship. The learning is delivered through a mix of live online teaching sessions delivered by our external training provider and face-to-face inductions and master classes.

You’ll be supported every step of the way. As well as technical training, we’ll help you to develop key professional skills that will ensure you succeed in the business world. You can expect to receive:

  • Paid time to attend off-the-job training that will make up 20% of your time (including additional support for English and Maths, or support accessed for learning difficulties and/or disabilities).
  • Transferable knowledge and skills (including decision making, record & document production, planning & organising, project management and assessment preparation).
  • Knowledge covering the following key topics: Understanding Business, Regulation, Policies and Processes, Personal Development, and Project & Stakeholder Management.
