Apprenticeship Programmes: KPMG360° Digital

Our KPMG360° Apprenticeship programmes offer a practical way to build an exciting career, earn a salary, gain valuable work experience and be supported to achieve a professional qualification – providing the opportunity to not only build skills and confidence, but an exceptional future too.

KPMG360° Digital lasts four years and combines academic study with practical work experience. Based in one of our UK offices, you’ll undertake varied work experience with technology teams across the firm. At the same time, you’ll also study for a BSc degree in Digital and Technology Solutions with our training provider, BPP University, combining academic study with on-the-job training. Your tuition fees will be fully funded and we’ll pay you a salary.

You’ll gain varied work experience in our technology teams, getting involved with teams across data analytics, cyber security, forensic technology and technology enablement. You could work on projects such as rolling out software, coming up with better ways to manage client data, or even designing a mobile-friendly app.

How is the programme structured?

First and second years

Along with other KPMG360° apprentices, you’ll undertake an induction programme and will have regular training sessions to develop your professional skills (e.g. presentation skills, resilience, project management and team working).You will gain varied work experience and  get involved with live projects. You will also begin your BSc degree in Digital and Technology Solutions.

Third and fourth years

During this phase, you’ll start to specialise and pursue one of the following career paths and study specialisms: IT Consultant, Business Analyst, Network Engineer, Cyber Security Analyst, Software Engineer or Data Analyst. This will form the basis for your future career within KPMG.

Support and Training

You’ll be supported every step of the way and in addition to technical training, you will develop key professional skills to support you to succeed in the professional world.

During university term time, apprentices are given one day of study leave per week. The course is mainly delivered online and you can choose to study anywhere, making this a flexible offering for you (some of the sessions are delivered in the evening).  You’ll get a huge amount of support and resources from tutors, lectures, and online lecture support. You’ll also take part in face to face seminars and workshops, enabling you to network with your cohort and develop your skills further.

You’ll have quarterly reviews with your training provider and line manager to ensure the objectives of your apprenticeship are being met.

Start by having a look around our site to make sure KPMG360˚ Digital is right for you. Once you’re ready to apply, you’ll follow a simple step-by-step digital process.

Stage 1: Online Application Form
This is your chance to tell us about your academic background, experiences and interests. You’ll also be asked to answer a number of short questions.

Stage 2: Digital Submission
If you’re successful, you’ll be invited to a complete a digital submission. This short submission is an opportunity for you to demonstrate both your communication skills and your motivation towards a career at KPMG.

In your digital submission, we will be assessing three of the KPMG global behavioural capabilities, ‘Makes an Impact’, ‘Career Motivation’ and ‘Demonstrates Innovation and Curiosity.’

You will have three days to submit, so please make sure you have time to complete this.

Stage 3: Assessment Centre
If you’re successful at digital submission stage, you’ll be invited to an assessment centre in the office to which you’ve applied. This will include an additional interview and some written exercises. We’ll give you more details about this part of the process once you’ve reached this stage

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for bright, enthusiastic people with a passion and aptitude for technology.  Perhaps you’ve delivered a digitally/technology focused project at school or college, such as creating or running a website, basic app or game? Or you might have started writing basic code or are able to demonstrate an interest in new emerging technologies.

Technology is a challenging area that’s constantly evolving, so we’ll be looking for some evidence that you’re passionate and committed to this career path.

Standard entry requirements (UK) 5 GCSEs at A* – C or at 4 – 9 GCSE (including English Language and Maths) and a minimum of 104 UCAS points under the 2017 UCAS tariff points system (e.g. BCC at A-Level or equivalent qualifications, not including General Studies).
Standard entry requirements (Scotland) A minimum of five Standard Grades at grades 1 – 3 which must include Maths and English (or equivalent Intermediate/National 5 qualification). Equivalent of 104 UCAS points under the 2017 UCAS tariff points system at Higher/Advanced Higher level (e.g. BBBB).
