About KPMG360° Digital

Digital technology plays a big role at KPMG – and it’s about to get even bigger.

That’s why we have created a degree level apprenticeship, designed to nurture our next generation of talent. Whether you want to advise clients on complex technologies or design game-changing solutions from the ground up, it will equip you with the skills you need to succeed.

KPMG360° Digital is a four-year apprenticeship programme that combines academic study with practical work experience. Based in Leeds, London or Manchester, you’ll undertake varied work experience with technology teams across the firm. At the same time, you’ll also study for a BSc degree in Digital and Technology Solutions with our training provider, BPP University.

At each step of your journey, you’ll develop your skills and broaden your knowledge in a supportive and collaborative environment. Here's how the programme is structured:

Years 1 and 2

Along with other KPMG360° apprentices, you’ll undertake an induction programme and will have regular training sessions to develop your professional skills (e.g. presentation skills, resilience, project management and team working).You will gain varied work experience and  get involved with live projects. You will also begin your BSc degree in Digital and Technology Solutions.

Years 3 and 4

During this phase, you’ll start to specialise and pursue one of the following career paths and study specialisms: IT Consultant, Business Analyst, Network Engineer, Cyber Security Analyst, Software Engineer or Data Analyst. This will form the basis for your future career within KPMG.

Entry requirements

Standard entry requirements - UK

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs at A* – C or 4 – 9 (inc. English Language and Maths)
  • Minimum of 104 UCAS points under the 2017 UCAS tariff points system e.g. BCC at A-Level or equivalent qualifications (not inc. General Studies)

Standard entry requirements - Scotland

  • Minimum 5 Standard Grades at Grades 1 – 3 which must inc. Maths and English (or equivalent Intermediate/National 5 qualification)
  • Minimum of 104 UCAS points under the 2017 UCAS tariff points system at Higher/Advanced Higher Level e.g. BBBB

Training and development

When you join us, you’ll undertake an induction programme and have regular training sessions to develop your professional skills e.g. presentation skills, resilience, project management and team working.

During university term time, apprentices are given one day of study leave per week. The course is mainly delivered online and you can choose to study anywhere, making this a flexible offering for you (some of the sessions are delivered in the evening).

You’ll get a huge amount of support and resources from tutors, lectures, and online lecture support. You’ll also take part in face to face seminars and workshops, enabling you to network with your cohort and develop your skills further.

You’ll have quarterly reviews with your training provider and line manager to ensure the objectives of your apprenticeship are being met.

Through ‘The Academy’, you’ll have access to communities who will support and develop you to help build your skills and career.

“I wasn’t hugely keen on going to university. Why spend money on tuition fees, if you could get the same qualifications whilst also getting paid and gaining amazing on-the-job experience? So, when the chance to join the programme at KPMG came up, I jumped at it.

This is a programme that gives you a real head start. In the first three years, I’ve gained my AAT qualifications up to Level 4. In the next three, I’ll be studying towards my ACA to become a qualified chartered accountant. All whilst building up experience and having the chance to make a name for myself in a prestigious company.

Within just three months of joining the programme in the Leeds office, I was working on a big audit. The accounts you’re looking into are split into different areas – such as debtors, creditors and fixed assets – and you’re given the responsibility to look into one of them. You certainly learn fast!
