Our programme is designed to give you wide exposure across HR, and to support you to achieve professional qualifications.
We’ve a number of Centres of Excellence and specialisms within HR which cover a range of services. The Graduate Programme gives you the opportunity to rotate and start to get a picture of which direction you’d like your career to take, whilst developing your skills and experience in HR. For example, in one placement you could be dealing with complex queries and associated administration and in another you could be working with one of our specialists in Reward, Learning, or Systems in supporting a project or new initiative. You could even work in an HR advisory capacity providing guidance on policy and practice. This level of variety is one of the constants in the HR environment. For one thing, we serve a community of over 14,000 staff in the UK firm – many of whom may be working throughout the world at any given time.
The ever-changing needs of the business also means that there is always a full portfolio of interesting and demanding projects being undertaken. Another project you could be involved in is our electronic salary review process. This would involve working with a specific client base to manage their pay review allocation. As well as sense-checking the external comparative market salary data, you would moderate their proposals for geographic and functional consistency, and challenge their proposals for diversity and overall fairness. You will learn about our policies and procedures and how we manage and support the development of all our staff. We serve a community of over 14,000 staff in the UK, and therefore this level of variety is one of the constants in the HR environment.

Sales and Marketing
During your two years with us, you will rotate through different areas of Sales and Marketing for up to six months at a time. The rotational format of the programme is designed to give you a broad experience across Sales and Marketing and give you the opportunity to see first hand how our teams work together and across the wider business.
Through the rotations there will be scope for you to create, contribute and be inspired. The varied roles and responsibilities will help provide you with many opportunities, and steer your career to becoming a Sales and Marketing professional at KPMG. We will give you the support, mentoring and help you need, and in turn we rely on you to take initiative and to make the most out of opportunities on offer.
As a Sales and Marketing Graduate, you will be given a broad range of responsibilities and projects. From the initial campaign planning of thought leadership, through to planning how we negotiate with our clients. You will see how we work with our client facing colleagues across each stage of the sales cycle. In your second year you will work on a specific business focused team project, bringing together an array of skills which will be invaluable throughout your career.
Exposure to the different areas of our dynamic Sales and Marketing Team will help you broaden your network across the firm. As you work with a mixture of sector and functional teams across the business you will get to experience how the different areas of KPMG work together to develop ‘client for life’ relationships. The broad experience of the rotational programme gives you the unique opportunity to identify which area of Sales and Marketing best suits your skills and interests – and allow you to build your career from there.
You will have a fantastic support network, including your own Performance Manager, to help tailor your rotation placements and ensure both you and KPMG get the most out of your time with us.

Training and development
For the duration of the programme and the rest of your career at KPMG, there will be a number of support channels available to help you progress your Sales and Marketing career within the organisation.
Learning and development is a key part of life at KPMG. Within Sales and Marketing we have learning and development opportunities to support our broad range of skills and roles. You will have access to all of this and the option to study towards an accredited sales and marketing qualification with a professional body such as the Chartered Institute of Commercial Management or Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Resourcing is a fast-moving area of the business and offers a varied, challenging and rewarding career. Whether you’re working alongside our client-facing colleagues in Audit, Tax or Advisory, you’ll be a key member of the Resourcing Team. Resourcing is a critical business function, ensuring that we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right location.
Working closely with the wider business, our team ensures the effective deployment of UK client-facing colleagues in order to meet the demands from our clients. Responsibilities are wide-ranging and include contributing to workforce planning, existing headcount management as well as enabling individual career development and progression. There is also the opportunity to get involved in a number of strategic resourcing projects. Resourcing sits at the centre of the business interacting with client-facing teams, Human Resources, Finance, Recruitment and Global Mobility to name a few.
Effective resourcing not only contributes significantly to KPMG delivering its business performance but it also plays a key role in helping individuals at KPMG fulfil their career ambitions.
