Role Summary

 

The Senior Pursuit Leader – HGS & Tech will have accountability for the execution of HGS and Tech components of key global pursuits, including global & regional priority targets and major high growth service opportunities.

 

How you will make your mark

 

Markets Focus:

  • Oversee planning and where appropriate lead strategic HGS pursuits providing market expertise, guidance, and instruction to the Lead Pursuit Partner / Lead • • • • Member Firm to ensure our greatest chance of success.

  • Close collaboration with HGS leaders and strategic focus on executing key elements of the HGS market strategies (set out by the Global HGS leads, ratified by the Global Head of Markets), to achieve our global market share and revenue goals.

  • Close collaboration with GMS Tech leadership in driving KPMG LINK Go market approach and narrative (across all relevant modules).

  • Lead and drive key initiatives to promote HGS and Tech knowledge and adoption across the sales force within the GMS global network.

  • Work with HGS leaders to create and deliver external marketing campaigns, to strengthen the KPMG brand across GMS HGS offerings.

  • Enforce our professional approach to pursuits, promoting best practices and ensuring that where applicable we bring the best of KPMG, people, technology, and service offerings regardless of location.

 

Leadership:

  • Be a subject matter leader in a new agile centralized Global Markets COE team (a virtual team of SMEs and Markets specialists based in several member firms). The Markets COE team responsibilities include centralized live RFP support (written and oral presentation), opportunity specific pursuit planning (incl. service delivery model and use of technology), ownership of standard RFP materials, and RFP debrief governance.  

  • Along other Markets COE leaders & members, work closely with Global Sales Support Team (centralized KDN resource to support Markets COE) in running jointly owned processes.  Drive culture of collaboration, high performance, and inclusivity.

  • Actively lead and expand the pool of demo specialists across our regions, to create more bandwidth and visibility in the market of our tech offerings.

  • Drive a culture of collaboration, high performance, and inclusivity. Be a role model leader, ensuring all team members feel supported and have equal opportunities for successful careers.

  • Provide strategic input into the overall market strategy to ensure we achieve our global revenue and market share goals.

  • Change:

  • Be an ambassador of centralized bid support and communicate the value it brings to lead member firms (i.e increased pro-activity, efficiency gains, lower cost in going to market, top-quality materials, access to expertise).

  • Actively drive & promote a high-class sales culture and entrepreneurial mindset across our global network, with particular focus on high growth services and the LINK GO product suite.

 

This is the job for you if you have:

 

  • Solid experience at Director level or equivalent

  • Significant experience with markets activities and commercial aspects of the GMS service line.

  • Team management experience

  • Proven experience in leading and managing large scale global engagements / projects.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a strategic mindset.

  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and relationship-building across diverse stakeholders.

Roles and responsibilities:

 

Managing and delivering client projects on Reward workflows, which can include the following:

 

  • Advising Remuneration Committees and management teams on reward strategy, shareholder consultation, corporate governance, pay regulation, ESG regulation and practices
  • Assisting with the drafting of Director’s Remuneration Reports
  • Designing and structuring of new incentive plans; reviewing existing incentive plans to ensure they remain fit for purpose
  • Advising on performance metrics including the use of ESG measures
  • Advising on the impact of any corporate transactions on existing or new compensation and benefits plans
  • Designing plans for the wider workforce including all employee share purchase plans, recognition, wellbeing and benefits plans
