Lead the growth of Tax Governance Services across the North, helping organisations strengthen tax governance, manage risk and respond to evolving UK and global requirements. You will shape client relationships, lead high-impact engagements and develop new services, including the safe use of artificial intelligence in tax. Working with a multidisciplinary UK team, you will build local capability while contributing to the national practice and supporting colleagues to develop. As Manager - People in M&A, you will help clients turn complex transactions into successful employee and organisational outcomes. You will lead the day-to-day delivery of engagements and major workstreams across due diligence, integration, separation and value delivery, working closely with senior clients and multidisciplinary KPMG teams. Your contribution will identify workforce risks and opportunities, shape practical people solutions and strengthen delivery quality, commercial performance and client confidence. This role offers broad exposure across the deal lifecycle, responsibility for coaching colleagues and the opportunity to grow the People in M&A practice through new propositions, pitches and market activity. 

The People and Resourcing Enterprise Architect will develop the UK Firm’s technology strategy for the people and resourcing domain and translate it into a coherent roadmap that guides investment priorities and the transformation portfolio. The role will promote a seamless end-to-end experience across the employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, talent attraction, recruitment, onboarding, learning, performance, reward, mobility, resource management and offboarding. It will shape modern, cloud-based and data-led capabilities, promote reusable technology components and integration patterns, and establish operating models that support effective design, delivery, testing, release and continuous improvement. The role will also govern standards and patterns, identify opportunities to simplify and decommission legacy technology, and guide solution architects and delivery teams so that solutions are fit for purpose and aligned with KPMG architecture standards.

The Role

• Acting as the day-to-day contact on audit and tax reporting engagements, liaising with audit teams, the client and AARTS team nationally.  Working with the AARTS leadership team to grow the business.
• Reviewing, testing and documenting technical tax disclosures prepared by clients and their independent advisers
• Delegating delivery of work to junior colleagues whilst maintaining control of quality and timetables.
• Developing and maintaining client relationships across a portfolio of clients;
• Developing and maintaining internal relationships with the audit teams, and other departments;
• Mentoring and developing of junior members of staff;
• Keep up to date and share technical insights with rest of AARTS team.
