KPMG’s UK Commodity and Carbon Trading Solutions (CCTS) team is growing its capability to deliver wide-ranging advisory services to companies participating in global wholesale and retail traded energy, commodity and carbon markets, assisting them to manage the evolving market landscape. To support the growth of the CCTS team, an additional Director is required to create commercial demand, drive delivery and to provide subject matter expertise to a range of client projects.

Dispute Advisory sits within our "Investigations & Compliance" team and helps clients to establish the facts in relation to an incident, loss or misconduct and then to remediate and recover value. We are experienced in managing diverse issues including fraud and misconduct, regulatory compliance, risk frameworks and modelling and much more.

As a Senior Manager, we expect you to take a lead role on challenging and complex engagements.  You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage stakeholders and deliver quality solutions to our clients. You will be expected to originate opportunities through both internal and external relationships and take the lead on business development activities, including marketing, knowledge sharing and practice development.

This is a director-level role with responsibility for operations, managing a team on a day-to-day basis, and reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications.

This role sits within the Operational Excellence Hubs (OEH). OEH is an innovative, agile, and collaborative function that provides services to support our client-facing colleagues in the delivery of their work. OEH supports the business through a variety of specialist teams, who work collaboratively to support the business to run smoothly.

The Accounts Receivable and Inter-Office department sits within the wider Credit Management team and is part of OEH Finance. You will be joining a team that provides vital support to the Business, providing high level administration and support, delivering excellent customer service on a variety of Accounts Receivable and Inter-Office activities, and enabling customers to focus on their core business objectives contributing to KPMG’s goal of driving growth through operational excellence.

KPMG has one of the leading Indirect Tax practices in the UK. We work as a national practice providing advice and support in all aspects of Indirect Tax (VAT, Customs Duty, Green taxes) to a broad range of business sectors including large multi-nationals, household name retailers, public sector organisations and Financial services (banking, insurance, asset finance, asset management and real estate clients)

The Indirect Tax practice is a fast-growing and dynamic business, currently with approximately 20 partners and 200 professional staff located across the UK.  We work to support our portfolio of clients with a variety of Indirect tax issues.  Within the various teams we have specialists in sectors such as Retail, Supply Chain, International Trade, alongside our Public Sector and Financial services specialisms.  We work closely with our colleagues in Trade & Customs, Corporate and Employment tax to deliver value to KPMG’s clients.  

The role in question is with the Financial Services (FS) Indirect tax team. The FS Indirect Tax practice currently services a broad range of clients, providing both VAT and Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) services. As VAT and IPT are real time, transactional taxes we work closely with our clients, building up a deep knowledge of their activities and how their businesses operate.

The team undertakes both compliance and advisory services. Over the last 12 months the team has been successful in winning a number of new, exciting projects. These projects include working with some of the largest investment banks, insurers, asset managers and fintechs In the market, we continue to see strong demand from clients looking for indirect tax support.
