Manager - Audit & Accounting Related Tax Services

The Role

 

• Acting as the day-to-day contact on audit and tax reporting engagements, liaising with audit teams, the client and AARTS team nationally.  Working with the AARTS leadership team to grow the business.
• Reviewing, testing and documenting technical tax disclosures prepared by clients and their independent advisers
• Delegating delivery of work to junior colleagues whilst maintaining control of quality and timetables.
• Developing and maintaining client relationships across a portfolio of clients;
• Developing and maintaining internal relationships with the audit teams, and other departments;
• Mentoring and developing of junior members of staff;
• Keep up to date and share technical insights with rest of AARTS team.

Our Transaction Services practice comprises approximately 500 people across the UK, organised to align to KPMG’s market orientated structure, and is at the heart of the Firm's agenda to increase its penetration of boardrooms and work with clients across the economic and transaction cycle.  Our team works closely with colleagues across Deal Advisory as well as Tax, Audit and other Advisory teams; it is a multi-disciplinary and international environment that sits right at the heart of our One Firm agenda. Our team works with clients from owner managed business, to large multinational organisations, and we are looking for a Senior Manager with a strong financial, accounting and tax background to assist clients across as suite of innovation advisory services including R&D tax Credits, Patent Box, R&D Allowances, Grants and Innovation Advisory services.

We are looking for a Manager to join our Global Mobility Services (GMS) tax team in our Midlands region. The role will be based in Birmingham.

KPMG's Global Mobility Service (GMS) practice is a diverse and fast-growing area of our Tax business. We serve some of the biggest names, with high-profile engagements touching every corner of world. Our GMS engagement teams are “360 degree service oriented”, with tax technical, client development and client-facing responsibilities as part of each successful candidates remit. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a confident, outward-facing skillset, and who is willing to invest time and energy in the marketplace.

 

Role summary

We are recruiting for a Director in the KDN Internal Audit & Controls team who will be responsible to grow the practice by onboarding KPMG Member Firms and embedding KDN in client delivery. This would require engagement with KPMG Member Firms to educate them on KDN capabilities, solutions offered and collaboration with pursuit/engagement teams to help with pre-sales activities including proposals and solutioning.

In addition, the responsibility would also involve leading key engagements from delivery standpoint. This would require owning the delivery end to end which would include understanding and setting up the project, stakeholder engagement, driving quality and ensuring timely delivery within defined budget.
