KPMG has one of the leading Indirect Tax practices in the UK. We work as a national practice providing advice and support in all aspects of Indirect Tax (VAT, Customs Duty, Green taxes) to a broad range of business sectors including large multi-nationals, household name retailers, public sector organisations and Financial Services.  The Indirect Tax practice is a fast-growing and dynamic business, currently with approximately 200 professional staff located across the UK.  We work to support our portfolio of clients with a variety of Indirect tax issues. 

In order to support our plans for our North of England Indirect Tax team, we are looking to recruit a motivated individual with a commercial edge who is seeking a real challenge, at Director level across our Indirect Tax business, to build on our successes to date and help us achieve our growth targets.

Overview

This is an enormously exciting opportunity for a sales professional to represent KPMG across the Financial Services market across the Regions. Financial Services firms – including Insurers, Banks, Building Societies, Fintechs, and Wealth & Asset Managers – represent some of the most dynamic and impactful enterprises in the UK market. The Northern region in particular is recognised as a national engine for growth, innovation and opportunity, with FS organisations and regulators increasingly enhancing their presence outside of London and into the Regions. HR M&A was set up as part of the Integration & Separation (I&S) team in Deal Advisory, which has been growing year on year and seen by our clients as a market leader. We have worked on some of the largest and most high-profile client engagements in the deals space, including multi-billion spins, integration of global mega mergers, disposals of non-core assets for large multinationals. We have launched a market differentiating digital engagement platform for M&A as well as a campaign focused on ‘the Human Side of Deals’, and we continue to drive digital innovation.

The KPMG Alternatives team provides high-quality and impactful tax advisory and compliance services to the Alternative Investment Fund sector. This includes private equity, hedge funds, credit funds and real estate funds.Due to our ongoing growth, we have a number of job openings for exceptional candidates.
