Our Insight Programmes have been designed to help you find out more about KPMG and the different types of projects and client work you could be involved in if you embarked on a career with us.

This is the perfect opportunity to develop new skills and enjoy new experiences – experiences that will stay with you for a lifetime. You’ll get an insider’s view into one of the world’s leading business advisory firms, the work we do, the industries we work in and the big issues facing our clients. 

Who’s it for?

Our Women in Technology and Women in Deal Advisory Insight Programmes are for students in their first year at University. Our Insight Days are for students in their first, second or third year at University. We’re looking for individuals from any degree discipline who are smart, ambitious and as focused on their career as we are.

Black Heritage Talent Insight Programme

This three-day Programme is the perfect opportunity for you to learn more about our business and develop your professional skills – it could even lead to an offer for an autumn 2019 Graduate Programme in either Audit, Tax, Technology, Consulting or Deal Advisory.

This Programme is aimed primarily at students of Black Heritage seeking an insight into a career in professional services. By Black Heritage we mean students who might identify as:

Mixed/Multiple ethic groups:

  • White and Black Caribbean
  • White and Black African

Black/ African/ Caribbean/ Black British:

  • African
  • Caribbean
  • Other Black

The Programme will give you the chance to meet people who make KPMG an inspiring place to work and support you to explore the variety of opportunities available across our organisation.

Over the three days you’ll network with colleagues from all areas of our business, from recent Apprentices to Partners, so you can find out what life and a career at KPMG is really like. Most importantly, this is a fantastic opportunity to fast-track yourself through our recruitment process. Whilst on the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in an assessment, and if successful, secure a position on an autumn 2019 Graduate Programme.  Please note- Graduate conversion offers will be subject to candidates having obtained the minimum UCAS requirements for that particular Graduate programme. The programme will  run in London from the 9th – 11th April 2019.

Who’s it for?

Our Black Heritage Talent Insight Programme is aimed primarily at students of Black Heritage. Candidates must either be in their final year at university or have already graduated. We’re looking for individuals from any degree discipline who are smart, ambitious and passionate about a career in professional services.

As a general rule, you’ll be expected to meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum grade B GCSE* or 5-6 Maths 
  • Minimum grade B GCSE* or 5-6 English Language 
  • Minimum of 300 UCAS Tariff points (120 UCAS points under the 2017 tariff point system)*
  • Obtained/ On track to achieve a 2:1 degree in any discipline*

(* or equivalent)

Please note, we only consider your ‘top’ three A-level grades and do not accept General Studies.

This is a three-day, paid Insight Programme. Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed and you will be paid a salary equivalent to the living wage salary.

Please note that you will be required to submit your business area of interest as part of the recruitment process.

Insight Days

Our Insight Day is the perfect opportunity to give you a head start on your peers and the chance to gain an insight into what you can get out of a career at KPMG.

The day is packed with practical takeaways which you can use across everything you do. You’ll also get an insider’s view into one of the world’s leading professional services firm, the work we do and the industries we work in and the big issues facing our clients. On the Insight day we’ll also give you the chance to network with Graduates and staff from KPMG where you will get the opportunity to ask questions and find out what life and a career at KPMG is really like. 

What do KPMG do?

Audit, the largest of our UK practices, develops a deep understanding of organisations and helps to assure that the annual accounts are a ‘true and fair’ reflection of their financial performance. Auditors at KPMG may get the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients, from international corporates to charities and governments.

KPMG’s Tax and Pensions Services practice is an excellent starting point for a successful business career. In Tax, you’ll work closely with a range of clients, developing a deep understanding of their commercial issues, while helping them to implement the tax approaches that best suit their needs. In Pensions, you’ll gain invaluable experience in a fast-paced and demanding sector that is very much a hot topic in public debate.

KPMG’s Deal Advisory, Consulting and Technology practices seek to address the numerous challenges and opportunities presented by a persistently economic environment. Our experts work across the spectrum covering areas as diverse as profitability, transformation, technology, risk, growth, structure and operations. Whether it's giving advice on improving the performance of a business, undertaking a transaction or helping to restructure a company and advising on how to handle risk and regulation – there is so much experience to gain in this sector and KPMG is the place to start.

Women in Technology Insight Programme

Our Women in Technology Insight Programme is aimed primarily at women who want to discover more about careers in Technology at KPMG.

On this paid programme, you’ll have the opportunity to network with inspirational women from our Technology teams, gain an insight into the variety of tech-enabled projects we work on, build your professional skills and explore the range of career opportunities available in Technology at KPMG.

The programme is packed with practical takeaways and valuable insights. From making the best impact with new contacts, in meetings and in interviews, to effectively managing projects. We’ll give you an insider’s view into our global network of firms, the range of industries we work in, our technology services, and the technologies we’re using – such as artificial intelligence – to help our clients succeed.  You’ll learn about some of the big issues facing our clients now and in the future - from cyber security to managing business risks using technology.

This three-day programme is the perfect chance for you to get a head start in the world of work. Plus, you could secure a place on our Technology Vacation Programme, starting in summer 2020*. More information about our Vacation Programmes can be found here. 

The programme will run in Manchester from 25th to 27th June 2019 and in London from  11th to13th June 2019.

*Please note that by attending our London Insight Programme and if successful, your Vacation role will be in London. By attending our Manchester Insight Programme and if successful, your Vacation role will be based in a regional office of your choice (Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh).

Our Women in Technology Insight Programme is aimed primarily at women with an interest in technology. Candidates must be in their first year at university (or second year if you’re on a four year course) .We’re looking for individuals from any degree discipline who are curious, ambitious and motivated to work in this expanding and dynamic field.

As a general rule, you’ll be expected to meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum grade B GCSE* or 5-6 Maths 
  • Minimum grade B GCSE* or 5-6 English Language 
  • Minimum of 300 UCAS Tariff points (120 UCAS points under the 2017 tariff point system)*
  • On track to achieve a 2:1 degree in any discipline*

Women in Deal Advisory Insight Programme

Our Women in Deal Advisory Insight Programme has been designed to help you find out more about a career within Deal Advisory at KPMG. It will also allow you to meet the people who make our Deal Advisory practice an inspiring place to work.

During the three-day programme, you’ll meet people from the different Deal Advisory teams. You’ll develop your commercial awareness and gain an understanding of the challenges businesses face across the deal and economic cycle.

You’ll find out what each team does for our clients, and how we help clients to deliver better results; whether that’s buying, selling, partnering, funding or fixing an organisation – you’ll learn how the Deal Advisory team offers clients the right strategy, support and insight.

You’ll also pick up valuable personal skills you can use across everything you do in the future. From making the best impact with new networks in meetings, events and interviews, to effectively managing tasks and projects, the skills you pick up could stay with you for a lifetime.

Most importantly, this is a fantastic opportunity to fast-track yourself through our recruitment process. Whilst on the programme, you’ll take part in an assessment, and if successful, secure your position on our Deal Advisory Vacation Programme for the following year, more information about our Vacation Programmes can be found here.
