Our Discovery Work Experience programme is the perfect opportunity for students finishing Year 13 in 2027 who are looking to start an apprenticeship in autumn 2027 to get an insight into our diverse teams and explore the variety of career opportunities we offer. We’ll inspire you to grow through your experience with us, helping you to develop new skills, build your confidence, make new friends and broaden your professional network.

Programme Overview

Discovery Work Experience

Our Discovery Work Experience programme continues to support our social mobility commitment by providing opportunities for young people from low-income backgrounds to gain valuable experience and develop skills, aligning with the Access Accountancy initiative's goal of creating a more inclusive and diverse workforce within the accountancy profession.

This in-person programme has been designed with students like you in mind – aspiring, curious and enthusiastic. As well as giving you the chance to gain an invaluable overview of the professional services sector, this programme will give you an excellent insight into the work we do, our culture and people – and provide you with some interactive learning opportunities to enhance your employability skills.

The programme is available for students finishing Year 13 in 2027 and are looking to start an apprenticeship in autumn 2027. This is the perfect chance to discover if KPMG is the place for you. You’ll get to interact face to face with other students, participate in workshops to develop some of the key skills you’ll need to thrive, whilst meeting colleagues from across the firm along the way.

Inside Audit

Our Inside Audit virtual work experience programme is part of our commitment to creating opportunities for aspiring students to gain valuable experience and develop skills that matter.

This virtual programme has been designed with students like you in mind – curious, ambitious and eager to learn. It offers a unique chance to discover what a career in audit looks like and how you can make an impact in the world of professional services.

Through this programme, you’ll gain an invaluable insight into the work we do, our culture and our people – all while completing interactive tasks that mirror real audit scenarios. These activities will help you build practical skills and boost your confidence, giving you a head start in your career journey.

The programme is completely free and flexible, so you can complete it at your own pace, wherever you are. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore whether KPMG is the right place for you and to experience the type of work our audit teams do every day.
