Summary of Role Purpose:

The Events & Hospitality Assistant Executive will focus on the delivery of events and hospitality activities across the UK. The individual will sit as part of the newly established Operational Excellence Hub (OEH) and will manage the delivery of events & hospitality working in conjunction team members from across the Marketing and Strategic Relationships function.

The Operational Effectiveness Hub includes marketing & event specialists who bring operational capability and process execution to support the delivery of our marketing and strategic relationship programmes. Part of our Campaign Management team, the OEH works alongside the Marketing Centre of Expertise to support brand & risk management, event delivery, marketing effectiveness, campaign delivery & digital enablement.

Events & Hospitality are key to the delivery of a successful marketing plan, managing and delivering best practice planning and delivery in respect of our business events and hospitality activities.

The Assistant Executive will support the project delivery of our business events/programmes and hospitality assets to ensure that our plans and activities support the delivery of the brief, meeting our brand and regulatory requirements and actively involving colleagues throughout development to ensure buy-in, quality and effectiveness.

This includes undertaking the requirements of our brand and regulatory processes and supporting the business review of content and event assets.

You will have the ability to work on activities across multiple stakeholders, channels, programmes and activities ensuring that your work and focus aligns to the relevant project timelines and any issues or challenges are flagged to the relevant colleagues in a timely and effective way.

The role will include engagement & interaction with business stakeholders, marketing agencies and colleagues across the marketing function and you will be able to contribute to and support these discussions.

This role will require working patterns that include evening and weekend working.

Description of the role:

• Support and lead the development and delivery of our event and hospitality programmes working as part of a team for larger events and in some cases independently where appropriate. This will include all aspects of end-to-end event management.
• Manage the application of business feedback and amendments to event and hospitality programmes and identify areas of conflict or concern to Event and Hospitality Managers and relevant stakeholders.
• Input to, collate and manage third party briefs and seek required client insights, business input and competitor insights as part of the event development process.
• Deliver event financial processes including PO management, reconciliation and campaign spend forecasts.
• Support and project manage contract negotiation with third party suppliers.
• Coordinate and arrange collaboration with third party partners and other marketing teams including booking in relevant support requests.
• Deliver the requirements of our brand and regulatory processes across deliverables including brand, risk and data management policies.
• Extract and arrange for the submission of campaign reporting, CRM data management and third party data sources including client insights and competitor activity.
• Lead on the deployment of internal launch plans and communications for our event and hospitality programmes.
• Support the operational practices of the Events and Hospitality team.

The Role

KPMG runs a series of market-facing relationship programmes in the Marketing & Strategic Relationships team which enables the firm to build relationships with current and future decision makers.
The flagship C-Suite Leadership Programme is one of KPMG’s Strategic Relationship programmes and an important way of strengthening the KPMG brand in the marketplace and building trusted and sustainable client relationships.
This role sits within the UK marketing and strategic relationships team and is focused on the programme Management of the C-Suite Leadership Programme.

The C-Suite Leadership Programme takes senior executives on an intensive, future focused journey that gears them up as leaders and change agents, defining the future of their businesses. Each year around 40 senior leaders go through an intensive journey as part of the programme. Their seniority requires that the programme is run in a highly professional way with a great deal of attention placed on the delegate experience – both overall and at an individual level.
In addition to the core programme this role has management of the C-Suite Programme alumni - our “Delegate for Life” community, which comprises a vibrant network of over 150 senior leaders with whom we engage through a regular programme of events and communications.

The Role

The Senior Campaign Manager will be a creatively-minded marketing generalist with a strong, in-depth knowledge of building and overseeing the delivery of Marketing and Strategic Relationship programmes across the full range of activities encompassing both traditional and digital channels.

Our Marketing Centre of Expertise (CoE) operates a matrix model of expertise in defined marketing capabilities and organised in clusters aligned to our business units. • Able to develop a good understanding of the business area, its commercial drivers and the role of marketing to enable these.

Expertise/ Technical role requirements:

• BA university degree or equivalent
• Professional marketing qualification (CIM) preferred
• Highly proficient in all MS Office packages
• Knowledge of CRM systems



Skills:


• Proven experience of working in the marketing function of a large business organisation
• Previous experience of marketing in a professional services organisation is highly desirable
• Creative and innovative with a strong grasp on existing and emerging digital technologies
• Inquisitive about the business, economic, political and social issues prevalent within the UK, Europe and internationally.
