The KPMG financial services tax team is a fast-growing part of the KPMG tax practice and as a result of growth in our business, we have a number of roles across our Financial Services Operational Taxes team, which has a diverse client base spanning the FS sector - providing services to banks, custodians, brokers, asset managers, alternative investors, wealth and hedge asset managers and global institutional investors such as pension funds and sovereign wealth funds.  

We are looking for a Manager to join FO&PC team in Birmingham/Nottingham.

This is primarily an advisory role and it entails working with high net worth individuals – both with UK affairs and international tax issues, and also working with entrepreneurial businesses and shareholder owned companies.

More specifically, some of the responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the delivery of a high quality personal tax service to our clients.
• Managing a diverse portfolio of more complex clients and being able to provide personal tax advice on a wide range of assignments including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax, international tax matters, and identifying opportunities to advise your portfolio of clients in relation to these taxes.
• Providing original and creative thinking to solve tax problems, frequently leading to providing wholly bespoke tax advice and solutions to one-off assignments.
• Project managing tax advisory assignments to ensure deadlines, risk management and compliance procedures are all met.
• Managing work in progress and ensuring prompt billing and cash collection.
• Overseeing the performance and career development of partly and newly qualified staff.

KPMG’s Tax Technology & Innovation team comprises 160+ technologists providing technology enablement services and solutions across the tax & legal business.
The team is made up of product owners, business analysts, multi-disciplinary engineering teams and it service delivery professionals working on a large portfolio of systems used to improve productivity and solve key business problems across tax & legal.  
A key focus is working with KPMG’s Global Compliance & Transformation (‘GCT’) team is to grow our managed service business, helping multinational groups manage and transform their global tax and accounting compliance and reporting requirement across multiple operating regions. 
Leveraging award-winning technology, we enable our clients to utilise KPMG’s compliance and transformation expertise to drive better visibility, greater efficiency and improved risk management across their organisation and responsibilities. Join Employment Solutions and advise a varied portfolio of domestic and international clients on employment tax, payroll obligations, employee benefits and HMRC compliance. You will lead key client relationships, shape opportunities and guide high-quality delivery across a national practice that works closely with KPMG Employment Law, Global Mobility and People Consulting colleagues. The role offers the scope to influence market activity, develop innovative responses to changing employment and reward legislation, and coach experienced teams.
