The Role

DAT provides market leading advice to corporates and financial institutions on a broad range of transactions. 

Embedded within DAT is our Private Equity & Credit team. The PE&C team works with large and mid-cap private equity and credit intuitions, advising them throughout the deal spectrum including buy-side due diligence and structuring, sell-side vendor assist, due diligence and structuring, refinancing, restructuring and listing support.

The PE&C team has advised on some of the largest deals in the market, helping clients understand and quantify historical tax issues, structure transactions, model tax outcomes and reflect advice in the legal documents underpinning each transaction, all with a continuous focus on maximising value throughout the investment cycle. Working collaboratively across the KPMG network, our work often involves advice across multiple countries, taxes, and work streams.

We are looking for a Manager to join FO&PC team in Birmingham/Nottingham.

This is primarily an advisory role and it entails working with high net worth individuals – both with UK affairs and international tax issues, and also working with entrepreneurial businesses and shareholder owned companies.

More specifically, some of the responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the delivery of a high quality personal tax service to our clients.
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of more complex clients and being able to provide personal tax advice on a wide range of assignments including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax, international tax matters, and identifying opportunities to advise your portfolio of clients in relation to these taxes.
  • Providing original and creative thinking to solve tax problems, frequently leading to providing wholly bespoke tax advice and solutions to one-off assignments.
  • Project managing tax advisory assignments to ensure deadlines, risk management and compliance procedures are all met.
  • Managing work in progress and ensuring prompt billing and cash collection.
  • Overseeing the performance and career development of partly and newly qualified staff.

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of Global Procurement’s transformation. The role is critical in enabling consistent, compliant, and scalable GP operations by strengthening governance, audit readiness, and sustainable change adoption across Global Procurement, business stakeholders, member firms, and suppliers.

 

The Process Manager owns the end to end lifecycle of Global Procurement processes, ensuring processes and Standard Operating Procedures are clearly defined, consistently applied, and aligned with policy, systems, and operational requirements. A core focus of the role is leading GP’s audit and compliance activities, including coordination with internal audit teams, governance of the Non Budgeted Items Policy, and ensuring robust controls, timely submissions, and sustained policy adherence.

 

Reporting to the Change Management & Process Senior Manager, the Process Manager works closely with cross functional stakeholders to support change, content, and engagement activities. This includes translating process and governance requirements into clear communications, practical guidance, and targeted training to drive adoption and ongoing compliance. The role also leverages AI enabled tools and digital ways of working to drive efficient, scalable, and audit ready Global Procurement operations.
