About the role

- Prepare and review VAT returns in line with UK compliance requirements, resolving queries and escalating technical issues where appropriate.
- Build and maintain trusted day-to-day relationships across an allocated client portfolio, responding effectively to ongoing requests and ad hoc technical needs.
- Coordinate engagements, priorities and stakeholders across assignments to maintain effective delivery standards.
- Work with corporate tax compliance, Accounting Advisory Services, Payroll and other KPMG teams to provide joined-up client delivery.
- Identify opportunities to broaden client relationships and contribute to cross-functional client solutions.
- Support senior team members with sales activity, proposals and propositions for existing clients and targets.
Experience and skills needed

- Strong understanding of UK VAT compliance, including the preparation and review of VAT returns.
- Experience managing engagements, coordinating delivery and maintaining effective client relationships across a portfolio.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyse issues and provide practical technical advice.
