About this Team

The Advisory marketing team sits as part of the Campaigns Marketing team in Global Brand and Marketing which is one of the biggest teams in Global Clients & Markets. The team works in an integrated way with colleagues across Global Marketing and advisory marketing colleagues from around the world to build and deliver the Advisory marketing strategy in alignment with the firm’s Collective strategy.

 

We work as a multidisciplinary network aligned behind a single global collective strategy. Working as part of the Global Marketing Leadership team, you will focus primarily on driving the Advisory marketing strategy, while also leading other cross-functional projects that benefit the wider agenda.

 

Role summary

 

With a passion to influence and inspire change, you will work collaboratively on developing and implementing the marketing strategy for Advisory at a time of critical change for this fundamental part of our business. Our Advisory revenues were $16.4bn in 2025, delivering a growth of 2.9%. Technology is providing both a major opportunity and disruption to how we sell and deliver our services and it’s an exciting time to lead marketing at this inflection point.

 

Our Advisory professionals work with many of the worlds’ leading organizations to help create and protect value. Combining the right technology with leading insight and world-class processes, we help to power continuous improvement and responsible growth. Core service areas include Deal Advisory, Strategy, Consulting and AI services.  KPMG Velocity is our exciting new delivery approach to delivering AI-enabled services in the market to produce faster high-performance outcomes.  

 

The role includes:

  • Defining the Advisory marketing narrative ensuring a clear, consistent storyline across channels and audiences
  • Working with stakeholders to oversee the development, management, and implementation of marketing strategy and key global Advisory marketing campaigns and hero thought leadership including the flagship Transforming the Enterprise of the Future; Global Tech Survey and more.
  • Development of campaigns to support strategically important propositions such as Transactions to Transformation; Cyber, the new Velocity proposition and fast-growing areas like Managed Services aligned to priority client needs and growth platforms.
  • Supporting the alliances marketing to leverage the firm’s Big 7 Alliances strategic partnerships – Microsoft, SAP, Google, Salesforce,  ServiceNow, Oracle and Workday.Directing and working with the advisory marketing professionals and teams across the Board countries and the wider KPMG network of firms beyond fostering a strong global advisory community and shared ways of working
  • Key contributor in the Global Marketing Leadership team on the evoluton of innovative brand and marketing strategies and new ways of working, including leveraging of AI

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Strategic Marketing Planning and Marketing Campaign Management

  • Developing and implementing the Advisory marketing campaign strategy (including for example Transforming the Enterprise of the Future; Global Tech Survey and more) aimed at driving demand for KPMG’s Advisory capabilities in the marketplace
  • Supporting the evolution of the Alliances marketing strategy and positioning KPMG’s technology capabilities
  • Providing strategic marketing counsel and managing Advisory stakeholders to ensure marketing plans and campaigns are aligned to and support the global strategic priorities
  • Developing campaigns and value propositions that generate leads and revenue for member firms, and support the growth ambitions for Advisory using insight-led, data-informed approaches
  • Developing and curating compelling Advisory narratives through client stories and analyst recognition,

 

 

Internal Network and Stakeholder Management

  • Working with a network of Advisory marketing contacts across the Regions, clusters and member firms to drive adoption of the global marketing strategy
  • Leveraging Member Firm practice activities globally where appropriate – working with countries on joint development of campaigns
  • Keeping individuals regularly informed and influence stakeholders to adopt and execute consistent, brand aligned marketing campaigns supported by full-funnel toolkits
  • Working with the Global Advisory leaders and sub-service lines to ensure effective sponsorship of campaigns
  • Close liaison with the Global Advisory Communications leader to ensure engagement with campaigns and the Global Analyst Relations Team to leverage Consulting accolades in marketing

 

Marketing Team Management – Budgets, ROI, and Knowledge Sharing

  • Inspiring and leading the Advisory marketing team of xx colleagues
  • Effectively accessing and leveraging the wider Marketing resources e.g., Brand Management, Digital Marketing, Marketing Planning, Delivery and Operations comprising a mix of in-house, outsourced, and offshored resources and services
  • Measuring marketing effectiveness and cost efficiency of activities against KPIs. Cost/ benefit analysis for major projects
  • Monitoring the actual spend against budget, identifying anomalies ensuring spend is tightly controlled
  • Regular reporting to the Global Advisory leadership on results and ROI
  • Keeping up to date with latest thinking and best practice in marketing internally and externally including AI-enabled marketing tools.
  • Sharing best practices with other teams within Global Marketing, and marketing professionals in Member Firms

 

 

Experience / Knowledge / Qualification

 

Required Experience

  • A senior marketing professional with extensive experience and demonstrable success in the formulation and implementation of strategic marketing and communication plans in services environment, ideally with a technology background
  • Experience in dealing with senior board level executives within a highly matrixed organization and delivering high profile programs
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leadership in a strategic advisor role is essential as well as inspiring and coaching marketing teams
  • Ideally Marketing qualifications

 

 

Required Skills

  • A strategic and lateral thinker with deep commercial awareness, who embraces change and is keen to make the difference
  • Collegiate team player who prioritises the Marketing team’s success
  • Demonstrable success in developing and implementing complex (and preferably international) brand and marketing campaigns that support revenue growth
  • Strong track record in using digital marketing strategies and new technologies including AI to grow a business 
  • Demonstrable success in managing measurement strategies and stakeholder influencing and engagement
  • Proficiency in thought leadership and content strategy development
  • Experienced in developing compelling value propositions and digital demand generation strategies for services and products that drive revenue
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to get buy-in and support for projects from diverse and often widespread stakeholders
  • Experience of negotiating with and managing sophisticated third-party organizations such as global industry bodies, academic institutions, global media owners and global content/services providers
  • Ability to oversee change management processes and influencing cultural change
  • Experience of working in a professional services environment will be a distinct advantage
  • Flexible and able to operate in the context of very different cultures and national approaches
  • A global mindset and ability to travel internationally when required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours - connecting and collaborating with colleagues in different time zones
