About the role 

KPMG's Tax & Legal capability helps organisations manage risk, respond to change and make informed business decisions in an increasingly complex regulatory environment. Based within the London Region Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team in Cambridge, this role focuses on delivering practical tax advice and compliance support to a broad client base. The team works in a hybrid environment, collaborating regularly in the office and at client sites while offering flexibility in how work is completed. 

Roles and responsibilities 

• Lead the delivery of corporate tax advisory and compliance projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes for clients. 
• Work closely with Partners, Directors and Senior Managers on complex tax matters and business change initiatives. 
• Manage UK and cross-border project teams, coordinating with specialists, overseas member firms and external advisers. 
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, commercially focused advice. 
• Provide clear technical guidance and challenge inputs where needed to achieve successful project outcomes. 
• Oversee engagement quality, risk management processes and client financial performance. 
• Coach, support and develop junior colleagues in both technical and professional skills. 
• Act as a role model for KPMG values and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team culture. 

Experience and skills needed 

• UK corporation tax experience demonstrated through relevant client or in-house work. 
• Experience managing multiple projects, priorities and stakeholder relationships. 
• Ability to lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary and cross-border teams. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex matters clearly. 
• Analytical and commercially focused approach to problem solving and decision making. 
• Experience coaching, supporting or developing junior team members. 

Qualifications required 

• Qualified CTA or ACA / CA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
