About the role:
This Director role sits within our International Tax team and supports the continued growth of our work with some of the largest and most complex multinational organisations. You will combine deep technical expertise, commercial judgement and inclusive leadership to shape client strategy, lead cross-border engagements and open up new opportunities. You will thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment, supported by a strong and ambitious leadership team.
What you'll be doing:
Lead a portfolio of multinational clients, delivering high-quality advice on tax structuring, refinancing, legal structure optimisation, pre- and post-transaction reorganisations, tax authority enquiries and wider corporate tax matters.
Provide strategic direction on international tax structuring, business reorganisations, operating model redesign and global tax policy developments, including Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) 2.0.
Shape routes to market and work with a range of stakeholders to start valuable conversations with existing clients and target organisations.
Translate complex technical matters into clear, commercially relevant advice for varied audiences, drawing on current knowledge of relevant UK and non-UK tax regimes.
Oversee multiple concurrent engagements, coordinating cross-functional and cross-border teams to deliver effectively.
Adapt business strategy in response to evolving client needs and global tax trends.
Champion compliance and risk protocols, embedding Global Tax Principles across engagements.
Drive business development through market insight, strong relationships and proactive identification of opportunities that create long-term value for clients and KPMG.
Coach, mentor and develop colleagues, fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture and acting as a role model for KPMG's values.
Skills, knowledge and experience you'll need:
A proven track record of international tax advisory work, with strong corporate tax and accounting knowledge.
Deep technical expertise in corporate tax, international structuring and tax risk management, alongside practical experience of multi-jurisdictional tax environments and regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated leadership of complex engagements, client relationships and diverse stakeholder groups.
A commercial mindset and the ability to convert technical advice into strategic business value.
A proactive approach to identifying and progressing sustainable business opportunities for clients and KPMG.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly to different audiences.
The drive, judgement and inclusive leadership skills to coach and lead colleagues while supporting equality, ethical decision-making and a positive team environment.
Qualifications you'll need:
ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification.
