Shape the Future of Tax Advisory with KPMG CTAC!
Are you an ambitious Corporate Tax Senior Manager ready to lead impactful projects, mentor rising talent, and drive innovation within a rapidly expanding team?
KPMG's Corporate Tax Advisory and Compliance (CTAC) practice is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager to join our vibrant team at our Milton Keynes or Watford offices.
Why KPMG CTAC?
Our CTAC department is a cornerstone of KPMG's Tax practice, experiencing significant growth due to the increasing complexity and high-profile nature of tax. This creates unparalleled opportunities for you to:
- Accelerate Your Career: This role offers a clear and accelerated pathway to Director, supported by bespoke development plans, leadership training, and direct mentorship from an ambitious leadership team invested in your success.
- Diverse Client Portfolio: Work with a broad range of clients, from fast-growing PE-backed and owner-managed businesses to UK listed companies and multinational corporations, offering diverse advisory challenges.
- Cutting-Edge Advisory: Be at the forefront of providing International and Complex UK Tax Advisory services, tackling projects such as intricate tax structuring, refinancing, legal optimisation, M&A reorganisations, and navigating the evolving regulatory landscape.
- Dynamic and Collaborative Environment: Join a high-performing, intellectually curious team that thrives on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. We foster a supportive culture where your contributions are valued, and collective success is celebrated.
- London Advantage: Based in our modern CSQ office, you'll benefit from being part of a broader, integrated London regional team, offering extensive networking opportunities and exposure to a wide array of tax specialists.
Your Impact and Responsibilities as a Senior Manager:
As a key leader within our CTAC team, you will:
- Client Leadership: Develop and nurture strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor who understands their commercial objectives and delivers strategic tax advice that directly contributes to their growth and success.
- Project Delivery: Lead the successful delivery of technically complex advisory projects, including tax structuring, refinancing, legal structure optimisation, pre/post transaction reorganisations, and managing tax authority enquiries. You will also provide critical technical support to the wider corporate tax team.
- Team Development: Take ownership of coaching, developing, and inspiring more junior members of the team, fostering their technical skills and accelerating their career growth within KPMG.
- Business Development: Actively seek out and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating with Directors and Partners to expand our market presence and deliver innovative solutions for client issues, including managing tender processes and client pitches.
- Operational Excellence: Contribute to the strategic direction and operational efficiency of the CTAC team, including effective resource planning and performance management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with specialists across various departments and KPMG's global network to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary tax advisory projects.
- Embody KPMG Values: Serve as a role model for KPMG’s values, fostering an inclusive, supportive, and high-integrity work environment.
What You'll Bring:
We are looking for individuals who are not only technically brilliant but also possess the drive and curiosity to excel in a challenging and rewarding environment.
- ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent qualification, complemented by strong corporate tax and accounting knowledge.
- Proven ability to develop, coach, and lead staff, fostering a high-performance team culture, alongside effectively managing senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, coupled with strong oral and written communication abilities, enabling effective client engagement and successful collaboration across teams.
- Well-developed analytical skills and a sharp commercial acumen, allowing you to resolve complex issues and provide pragmatic, value-added advice.
- Proactive approach to identifying and progressing business opportunities, always with the long-term benefit of both KPMG and our clients in mind.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and client relationships concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of drive, enthusiasm, and a consistently positive attitude.
- An inquisitive mind with meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to continuously develop your technical expertise.
No matter what unique strengths you bring, you’ll find yourself among a community of spirited, naturally curious people. Colleagues who are eager to collaborate, learn from your insights, and share their own knowledge, all working together to make a collective impact far greater than the sum of its parts.
If this specific role isn’t the right fit, but you’re inspired by what you see, we encourage you to stay connected. We frequently have new opportunities arising for talented professionals.
