Job description

The Role

This is a senior, client-facing role focused on pre-deal technology due diligence and value creation for private equity investors.

You will lead the delivery of complex buy-side and sell-side engagements, working directly with Investment Directors, Operating Partners, CIOs and management teams.

You will be expected to operate with autonomy, commercial judgement and leadership, not simply manage workstreams.

This role is open to all locations within the UK with flexible working options.


What You Will Do

Lead Pre-Deal Technology Due Diligence:
• Assess platform scalability, technical debt, product architecture and cloud maturity
• Evaluate cyber resilience, data strategy and IT operating model effectiveness
• Identify risks to investment thesis and quantify remediation costs
• Assess separation complexity in carve-out scenarios
• Translate technical findings into commercially relevant insights for investors
• Lead management sessions and present findings directly to PE deal teams

Drive Value Creation:
• Develop 100-day technology plans
• Identify EBITDA-enhancing initiatives across automation, systems rationalisation, data monetisation and digital enablement
• Design scalable operating models to support buy-and-build strategies
• Support integration and separation planning

Build and Scale the Practice:
• Support origination and proposal development
• Deepen relationships with PE funds and portfolio leadership
• Mentor and develop high-performing managers and senior consultants
• Contribute to the continued productisation and refinement of our Tech DD methodology

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for commercially-minded technology leaders who thrive in high-performance environments.

Experience:
• Extensive experience in technology consulting, IT advisory or technology due diligence
• Direct experience supporting private equity transactions
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, ERP/CRM landscapes and cyber risk
• Experience assessing scalability, technical debt and operating model maturity
• Proven ability to lead teams and engage confidently with senior stakeholders

You Will Stand Out If You:
• Have led buy-side Tech DD engagements end-to-end
• Have supported carve-outs or complex separations
• Understand how technology drives EBITDA and exit value
• Are comfortable challenging management constructively
• Have experience in high-growth or PE-backed environments
