This is why you'll find KPMG the perfect place for you to build your expertise, progress your career and make your mark.

Our tax professionals have an impact on some of the most pressing global challenges of the day, such as climate change, incentives and transparency. We offer real scale and size in terms of the range of tax solutions we offer clients. Our services span: International Tax, Deal Advisory Tax and Transfer Pricing; Business Taxes, covering advisory, compliance, claims and incentives and transformation; People Taxes, advising on all aspects of employee reward, tax issues arising as a result of having a global workforce as well as advising high-net-worth individuals and entrepreneurial families; and Indirect Taxes.

Within this wider practice, the Transfer Pricing Compliance & Transformation team helps multinational groups navigate global compliance requirements, including master files, local files, transfer pricing returns and benchmarking. The team combines dedicated UK-based specialists, structured processes and market-leading technology to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes across jurisdictions.

About the role

Continued growth and internal progression have created an opportunity for an experienced transfer pricing professional to join as an Assistant Manager. You will play a pivotal role in delivering complex compliance programmes, strengthening trusted client relationships and supporting the team's future growth. The work combines technical delivery, project leadership, international coordination, people development and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead global transfer pricing compliance projects across multiple jurisdictions, delivering to agreed deadlines, budgets, regulatory requirements and quality standards.

  • Build trusted client relationships by providing clear, responsive and commercially relevant transfer pricing support.

  • Establish effective project governance through robust planning, resource coordination, risk management and oversight of deliverables.

  • Prepare and review accurate benchmarking analyses, transfer pricing policies, local files, master files and returns that withstand internal and regulatory review.

  • Develop a strong understanding of clients' business models, value drivers and industry factors to support well-founded transfer pricing outcomes.

  • Use KPMG technology, standardised processes and quality controls to improve the consistency and efficiency of delivery.

  • Coordinate KPMG teams across jurisdictions and tax disciplines to provide a joined-up service to clients.

  • Coach junior colleagues, helping them build capability, improve performance and contribute to a sustainable delivery pipeline.

  • Support business growth through effective project scoping, proposals, client pitches, leadership discussions and continuous improvement.

Skills, knowledge and experience you'll need

  • Strong transfer pricing compliance experience, including preparing and delivering local files, master files and transfer pricing returns across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Proven project management capability, with experience delivering complex, multi-country work to agreed deadlines and budgets.

  • The ability to build effective client relationships and understand business models, value drivers and client requirements.

  • Practical transfer pricing analysis and benchmarking experience, including methods such as the transactional net margin method (TNMM) and comparable uncontrolled price (CUP) method.

  • Experience coordinating international teams and working across multiple tax disciplines.

  • A track record of coaching junior colleagues and improving team processes and delivery quality.

  • A Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification, or a relevant degree in economics, finance, law or accounting.
