Data is the common thread that connects technology and business people together, and Analytics is the method by which data is transformed into insights that help businesses take action and generate enhanced value.
 
Our Analytics teams use advanced data analysis technologies and techniques to help our clients answer business questions and commercial issues. We combine data analytics, modelling, business intelligence and advanced analytics and data science skills to help our clients.
 
Our three year Analytics graduate programme is designed to offer the client exposure and support

The exact shape of your training will be influenced by the type of work you’re engaged in, but will involve learning market-leading technologies and industries, and formal training on a number of delivery and consulting approaches. We’ll also assign you to projects that puts your formal training to practical use.
 
Plus, we offer on-the-job coaching, in some cases the chance to study for relevant industry qualifications and access to wide-ranging training that will help you to manage your time, influence stakeholders, manage finances and lead others.
 
We provide many opportunities for personal learning, development and career progression, where staff at all levels have access to formal and informal training courses and for merit based progression. As you continue to develop and build on your experiences, you will be able to take on more responsibilities, to help shape and grow our teams into the future. Everyone is encouraged to gain industry recognised certifications from AWS, Microsoft and Google and we will assign you to relevant projects so you get hands on experience to compliment the theory. Everyone has access to learning platforms like PluralSight and A Cloud Guru .

Cyber

KPMG has been acknowledged by Forrester as a leader in the provision of cyber security consultancy. We are a growing team that offers a range of cyber consulting services to meet a growing demand and provide a comprehensive range of services to many of the largest corporate companies in the world.

We help our clients to protect, detect and respond to high end cyber threats; helping them understand the cyber threat landscape, make sensible decisions on investment priorities, and build out the specialist capabilities they need to counter cyber attacks and other threats. We believe that cyber security is about helping our clients to harness business opportunities safely and securely. For us, cyber security isn’t just a technical issue, it is one which engages the whole business and focusses on a holistic approach to understanding and mitigating the risk.

Data and Technology Consulting

If you are applying to this graduate scheme, there is no doubt you will be aware of the vast, unstoppable reach of technology. Present and potent in every industry and every household, technology and the use of data, shape the way we live and work.

As a graduate at KPMG, you will learn the skills to analyse, advise and deliver solutions on a range of client issues. This could mean helping an investment bank manage systems and data compliance with trading regulations, or supporting a software giant in the release of their latest suite of products. We work extensively on data architecture, data quality and data governance and how data can be used for business advantage. Our teams work on projects such as integrating financial data with Cloud based General ledgers, risk management and risk reporting, and improved automation using cognitive techniques to reduce costs in key client processes.

Training and development

Training will continue throughout your career at KPMG, but during your first couple of years we focus on equipping you with a strong foundation of technical and industry knowledge. That is why majority of your training will be on the job and you'll participate in formal classroom or residential courses and via our dedicated online training portal - so you'll have a rounded learning experience to best support your development.
 
You’ll commence a tailored training path designed to take you through the three years and get the opportunity to rotate through a number of client facing projects, where you’ll put this formal training to practical use.
 
You may also have the opportunity to study for an industry accredited qualification where relevant focusing on key technology specialisms that will help you through your graduate programme and into your future career. 

Financial Modelling

Our Financial Modelling practice helps clients utilise information to answer their business questions, by integrating large volumes of data from disparate sources and applying subject matter knowledge and technical expertise to build models. We work across all sectors and support the strategic direction of the whole business or parts of a business through a variety of capabilities.

Our clients depend on models to make critical financial and business decisions. The models we build provide numerous benefits, deep insights into data, efficient automation of processes, and dynamic analysis of options and opportunities. High quality, robust modelling reduces the potential of misapplying business logic or encountering data errors, and decreases the risk that organisations will make poor decisions.

Our three year graduate programme is designed to offer the client exposure and the support you need to secure a successful career in Financial Modelling. You will develop core consulting and technology skills, whilst building models across a broad range of tools such as Excel, VBA, SQL, Qlikview, Tableau, Power BI and much more.

Whilst you don’t necessarily need to be a technical guru we are looking for individuals who have a keen interest in Financial Modelling and typically come from STEM, Economics or Finance backgrounds. Most importantly, you’ll have an appetite to learn about Financial Modelling and how we can best support our clients.

Due to the nature of the work, applicants applying to our Bristol office should either hold or be capable of obtaining UK security clearance.

Global Mobility Services (GMS) Technology

Advancements in technology are rapidly changing the way companies do business globally; and how employers are interacting with their employees.
 
We help organisations manage their global workforce and use technology to provide tax and advisory services to companies and individuals. Our mobile and web applications enable companies to manage and stay in touch with their employees around the world.
 
KPMG’s three-year graduate programme will offer you exposure to multinational clients and provide the training and experience needed for a successful career in a tax technology role. This graduate programme provides an opportunity to develop both tax advisory and technology consulting skills.

Training and development

Training and development will be ongoing throughout your career at KPMG. In the first 2-3 years you will be provided with the opportunity to attain the ATT (Association of Tax Technicians) qualification. You may also have the opportunity to study for an accredited qualification in a technology specialism, which will assist you throughout the graduate programme and in your future career.
 
The exact nature of your training will be influenced by the type of work you’re engaged in and your project roles, however it is likely to incorporate both formal and informal training and support to develop your tax and technology skills.
 
Additionally, we will provide you with on-the-job coaching and access to wide-ranging training that will help you manage your time, influence stakeholders, manage finances and lead others.

Information Risk Management

Technology underpins many of the most influential organisations in the world.  It enables the biggest business decisions and connects people around the globe.  The opportunities that technology brings are matched only by its potential threats and risks – and this is where we come in.  
We provide independent, jargon-free advice and technical expertise to help our clients control their technology risks through specialist IT audit support, and enable them to make the best use of their data.  
 
Our three year graduate programme is designed to offer the client exposure and the support you need to secure a successful career in Information Risk Management (IRM) and Technology Risk. We will help you to develop your technology, audit and consulting skills, commercial acumen and a flair for business to enable you to deliver real value to our clients.

Training and development

As an IRM Graduate, your training and development will follow the Graduate Learning Pathway. This is a well-rounded training and development plan, and comprises technical training, personal development, and career development courses to help you make the most of your programme.
 
When you join the team, your initial training will be geared towards equipping you with the requisite skills and knowledge to support our teams of IT Audit specialists.  You can expect to gain an in-depth understanding of IT systems; financial processes and controls; and of the audit and assurance process.  You will study for the ICAEW Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (CFAB).  
 
During your programme you will also have the power to shape your own development by augmenting the Learning Pathway with courses from the KPMG Business School and a variety of online platforms as well as studying towards professional qualifications such as:
  • TIL Foundation;
  • COBiT Foundation;
  • ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

Software Engineering
