KDN for Audit is a critical component of delivering the Global ESG Assurance strategy, and is fundamental to ensuring member firms can scale their assurance practices’ in a rapidly changing market. 

 

Our vision is that the KDN ESG Assurance team will support every ESG Assurance engagement across the global network with access to market leading expertise and highly standardised services so they can deliver consistently high quality. The CSRD in the EU is expected to create a multi-billion dollar opportunity for KPMG in ESG assurance, but in order to meet demand, we will need a significant amount of capacity and subject matter experience. KDN will be the only way member firms can meet the scale of this challenge, and is a truly transformative opportunity for the firm.

 

We are seeking a Manager to serve as a Greenhouse Gas Subject Matter Expert to partner with global Leaders to build profile, provide credibility for ESG sales pitches and develop and lead the delivery of assurance services. • Providing subject matter expertise to validate the greenhouse gas solution that will form part of the delivery model
• Defining business processes that will maximise quality and provide a seamless experience for member firms
• Developing assets for use in delivery (e.g. technology, templates, frameworks) to ensure a standardised service that delivers consistency
• Partnering with local country professional practice colleagues to understand local regulatory requirements and the impact on solution deployment
• Connecting with member firms and global thought leaders to identify existing content, technologies, and other accelerators to support the service and drive consistency

Roles and responsibilities

Managing and delivering client projects on Reward workflows, which can include the following:

• Working closely with senior leaders to support and lead on;
  •  Assisting in the advice to Remuneration Committees and management teams on reward strategy, shareholder consultation, corporate governance, pay regulation, ESG regulation and practices
  • Assisting with the drafting of Director’s Remuneration Reports
  • Contributing to the design and structure of new incentive plans; reviewing existing incentive plans to ensure they remain fit for purpose
  • Advising on performance metrics including the use of ESG measures
  • Advising on the impact of any corporate transactions on existing or new compensation and benefits plans
  • Contributing to the design of plans for the wider workforce including all employee share purchase plans, recognition, wellbeing and benefits plans
  • Pay and benefits benchmarking
  • leading one or multiple client engagements of moderate complexity independently, consulting with senior team members as necessary
  • Managing commercial aspects of engagements to achieve desired levels of quality and profitability - including expected utilisation and productivity targets

 

• Taking early responsibility for building and maintaining some of KPMG’s relationships with clients, including discussing people issues with clients and recognising opportunities to assist clients across different specialisms
• Working with other teams to deliver integrated advice to clients in relation to their business issues

Banking Accounting Advisory (BAA) is a team of Banking and Financial Services technical accounting specialists with extensive experience delivering expert accounting advisory services, financial reporting and regulatory change projects to major Tier-1 global banks, challenger banks and building societies. We have deep expertise in complex accounting within the Banking and Financial Services sector such as IFRS 9, hedge accounting, securitisations and other structured transactions, derivatives, and deal accounting for mergers and acquisitions and group reorganisations. We also provide SME advice on the critical interactions between IFRS and PRA/EBA regulatory regimes.
