EMA Microsoft Alliance Sales Lead

The EMA Microsoft Alliance Sales Lead is responsible for leading the EMA Microsoft Alliance Sales team including:

  • Team development and performance management.
  • Responsibility for all the Microsoft-related sales opportunities across EMA which have been qualified, prioritized, and assigned to EMA Microsoft sales team members.
  • Owning the Microsoft-related sales cadence and reporting for the EMA Head of Alliances.

 

The EMA Microsoft Alliances Sales Lead is also individually responsible for identifying and coordinating sales opportunities across EMA within the assigned Sector(s) (i.e., IGH, FS, etc.) including Global, Global Platinum or Strategic Growth Accounts; developing and managing pipeline, driving bookings growth, and interfacing with Microsoft Sales Executives to ensure a coordinated GTM approach and sales leading practices.

  • Client-facing role aligned by assigned Sector(s) including Global, Global Platinum, or Strategic Growth Accounts.
  • Leads and develops the EMA Microsoft Alliance Sales team on a day-to-day basis.

  • Defines and optimizes the KPMG/Microsoft sales approach; Develops sales best practices (engagement models, client pursuit, pipeline management, client orals) to enable collaboration and sell more effectively across the region.
  • Identifies similar solution opportunities across the member firms and develops a coordinated sales approach and process that can be repeated versus one-off member firm approaches to the same solution.
  • Leads the development of necessary sales enablement tools for KPMG and Microsoft, including proposal templates and content, sales materials for solutions and offers, client wins, references, etc...
  • Works closely with the EMA Microsoft Platform Leader, EMA Microsoft Alliance Leader, and local Practice Leaders in RFP responses, estimations, the oral process during the sales process, and additional tasks as required.
  • Identifies KPMG-Microsoft Alliance Sales risk factors, working closely with the EMA Microsoft Platform Leader, and EMA Microsoft Alliance Leader to define an action plan and implement remediation actions.

 

Deliverables and accountabilities

  • Leads a high-performing EMA Alliances Microsoft Sales team that enables KPMG to respond quicker and more effectively to large sales opportunities.
  • Carries sales quota for assigned Sector(s) solution suite including alliance-enabled solutions.
  • Owns industry sales approach for Microsoft for one or more of the following areas: Financial Services & Insurance, IGH, IM, Consumer Retail, TMT, Life Sciences, Healthcare, and other areas when required.
  • Contributes to defining and supporting member firms to achieve their annual bookings targets.
  • Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders within KPMG and with Microsoft (focus on Account Leaders).

Skills and experience

  • Strong Technical understanding of the Microsoft platform.
  • Sales and Business Development experience in Big 4 a plus but would consider relevant EMA / Global sales experience.
  • Previous Microsoft or Microsoft Partner a plus.
  • Strong sales and sales management skills with attention to detail coupled with the ability to think large scale.

This role is vital for GMS global growth plans and will ensure the success of the practice.

Markets Focus:

- Drive collaboration with Lead Member Firms across the globe on account and opportunity planning (for both external targets and existing clients), to position KPMG in the best possible way to succeed in the market
