The Role

 

We’re looking for an experienced technology leader to join the Audit technology leadership team.

 

The head of Innovation and Deployment will oversee both the product lifecycle and deployment of technology solutions to the Audit business.

The individual will be responsible for researching new and emerging technology that could impact the audit business and using this knowledge and collaboration within the global organisation to shape a technology roadmap that aligns to the audit strategy. The individual will oversee a team of product portfolio leads who will ultimately deliver on the technology roadmap.

The individual will lead the development and delivery of a technology deployment roadmap that aligns to business needs and ensures auditors get the most from the technology available to them, delivering the return on technology related investment spend.

 

The individual will report to the Audit Chief Technology Officer and work alongside other members of the Audit Technology leadership team, and will have a combination of directors and senior managers reporting to them.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead a team of product portfolio owners, shaping the strategic roadmaps and priorities within these portfolios.
  • Oversight of horizon scanning within the Audit business, ensuring emerging technology trends are identified and capitalised on.
  • Oversight of a programme of work (linked to our Audit Quality Plan) related to technology usage in the business.
  • Lead the development of an Audit technology deployment roadmap, taking into account individual product roadmaps and the needs of the Audit business.
  • Oversee the monitoring & reporting on technology usage levels, tracking progress against key KPIs and identifying and implementing actions to increase usage levels.
  • Work closely with the Head of Audit Technology & Solutions to ensure that the technology deployment roadmap is executed according to robust product roadmaps and high quality software development practices.

 

Experience & skills

 

  • Extensive experience in a technology product-oriented field.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience overseeing end to end technology product lifecycles – including ideation, business analysis, software development, deployment and support.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and experience deploying technology solutions to a complex and regulated business.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience in managing and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, fluid situations and a highly pressured environment.
  • Ability & willingness to travel when necessary.

The role of the Integration & Dev Ops Enterprise Architect is to develop the UK Firm’s integration & DevOps technology strategy and translate this into a roadmap that determines our investment priorities and transformation portfolio. The integration strategy needs to promote a seamless, end-to-end customer and employee experience by enabling the efficient creation and modification of effective and reusable integration components. In particular, the strategy should promote the use of modern, Cloud-based technologies; Infrastructure as Code (IaC), support typical integration use cases; create an operating model that satisfies the demands of the business for integration design, development, testing and release; and establish an integration catalogue that supports the reuse of new technologies, whilst targeting legacy integrations for decommissioning. The Integration & Dev Ops Enterprise Architect should also help to execute and govern the strategy, by helping solution architects and projects to design solutions that are fit for purpose and conform to our standards and patterns.

The Role

 

We’re looking for an experienced technology leader to join the Audit technology leadership team.

 

The Head of Technology & Solutions will be responsible for overseeing the development, deployment and running of all technology solutions used by the Audit business. They will work closely with the other members of the Audit technology leadership team and the global audit organisation to set the strategy and roadmap for technology solutions, including Artificial Intelligence, Automation and Analytics.

 

They have primary oversight of:

 

-             Audit technology architecture strategy;

-             Technology development and product engineering activities in audit;

-             Technology support provided to Audit by Enterprise-Wide Technology teams (ensuring services meet the appropriate levels and are cost effective) and functional support for audit products;

-             Data governance, risk and controls activities in Audit.

 

The individual will report to the Audit Chief Technology Officer and work alongside other members of the Audit Technology leadership team and will have a combination of directors and senior managers reporting to them.

 

Responsibilities

 

•            Cultivate collaborative relationships and network across the Audit business.

•            Overseeing engineering resources who are developing & deploying new technology solutions to the audit business (working closely with the Head of Product & Innovation). Resources will include software engineers, data engineers, cloud engineers & data scientists.

•            Maintaining the Audit technology architecture strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with global audit and UK firm-wide roadmaps.

•            Accountable for technology support within the Audit function, including functional support and deployment activities.

•            Provide Quality Assurance and maintain compliance standards in relation to new and updated technology solutions.

•            Develop, implement, and operate controls to mitigate the risks associated with the use of technology in the business.

•            Developing and implementing a robust data governance strategy.

•            Services provided to the Audit function by Enterprise-Wide Technology, ensuring the services delivered meet the requirements of Auditors, are cost effective and provide appropriate service levels.

•            Manage the audit technology budget and resources, including oversight of FinOps practices.

•            Lead, develop and mentor the audit technology team by promoting a culture of coaching, inspiring others, prioritising wellbeing, and career development within the team.

 

Experience & skills

 

•            Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

•            Extensive experience in a technology-oriented field.

•            Strong technical skills, including experience overseeing software development, deployment and support.

•            Experience of managing end-to-end software lifecycles for enterprise level applications used by thousands of users.

•            In-depth experience of implementing industry standard IT service management processes.

•            Strong understanding of information technology risks and controls.

•            Ability to manage vendor relationships with key technology partners, ensuring value for money and quality of service.

• Broad knowledge of other Workday product sets like HR and Payroll solutions
• An understanding of the functional, application and technical architectural elements of an Workday Finance programme.
• Experience of operating and implementing in a cloud environment and understanding the impacts of implementing and operating on the cloud versus on premise.
