Responsibilities

— The Solution Architect will lead the delivery of our Powered Finance Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution
— Be a champion for both technical and functional leading practice with the Powered Finance Solution.
— Have an exceptional understanding of Dynamics 365 technical and functional capabilities
— Collaborate with the Global Powered team to enhance the out of the box Dynamics 365 functionality, giving KPMG a unique selling point and also a resalable asset
— Be responsible for ensuring our pre-sales engagements are delivered with the same rigour and attention to detail as our client engagements
— Define training needs within the team and coach other team members
— Deliver all consultancy according to the KPMG Powered Methodology, ensuring that all software applications are implemented successfully according to the project plan.

— Identify business/project risk and mitigate or communicate as necessary.
— Ensure progress updates are communicated to relevant parties both formally and informally.

Requirements: Qualifications and Skills

— Deep and broad knowledge of technical capabilities of Dynamics 365, including appropriate certification. Must be able to show good knowledge of practices for Dynamics 365.
— In particular deep knowledge of all core Finance concepts and processes including, Enterprise Structures, GL, AP, AR and reporting.
— Good understanding of Azure and cloud technologies, .Net development and PowerBI.
— Broad understanding of software development lifecycle, development management, release management, data migrations, cut-over planning and early live support.
— In addition understanding of one of the following is beneficial:
- Manufacturing
- Human Resources
- Project Management and Accounting
- Procurement & Sourcing
- Trade & Logistics
— Demonstrable knowledge of capabilities of the supporting software in the Microsoft stack (certification is a positive), including:

Summary of Role Purpose


A rare opportunity for a motivated individual, with leadership and promotion ambitions to join our Private Enterprise leadership team in Aberdeen. As a key member of a team consisting of advisory, deals, tax and audit specialists you will be responsible for Private Enterprise tax and will work with leaders from the other KPMG service offerings, to provide a multi-disciplinary offering to private companies, entrepreneurs, emerging growth companies, family businesses, high-net-worth individuals and family offices. As well as working with existing clients, a large part of the role will be to identify new clients and grow our existing client base.

Focusing on opportunities in the North East of Scotland, across all sectors (Energy, Technology, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Food, Drink and Agriculture and Tourism) the role will be based in Aberdeen but some regional and national travel to client sites and other KPMG offices will be required.

Description of role:

• Be lead client tax advisor, responsible for the delivery of tax services to our Private Enterprise clients
• Be accountable for the growth of the office in respect of Private Enterprise tax
• Be market facing to create and maintain relationships and increase the KPMG brand in the North East of Scotland
• Identify key client issues that represent opportunities for not only tax, but also other KPMG teams to capitalise on and play active role in introductions.
• Liaise with other service lines such as advisory, deals and audit to ensure co-ordinated service to the client
• Lead and host client seminars and events in respect of Private Enterprise
• Be the region representative on the national Private Enterprise tax network and share learnings with the local team
• Hold and control high level conversations with senior stakeholders in the markets and be capable of introducing relevant specialists from across the firm

• Actively promote the Aberdeen team and your personal profile to internal KPMG networks in order to promote collaboration and increase internal leads

Role Dimensions


Leadership & Management:

Reporting to the Office Senior Partner and Tax Director , this is a key leadership role for the office which will have direct management and coaching responsibilities for the tax department and wider coaching responsibilities across the Private Enterprise team.

Stakeholder Interaction & challenges:

The role will involve interaction with multiple external senior stakeholders, including shareholders, company directors, CFOs and high net worth individuals and will cover a wide range of services, from specialist tax advisory to tax accounting.

Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance:

The role is a key role in delivery of the firm’s UK strategy in respect of Private Enterprise growth. Part of the National Markets tax team, with direct accountability to the Office Senior Partner and Head of Tax Scotland. The Head of Regions and Head of National Markets Tax are also key stakeholders in this role.

• Developing lasting client relationships and actively building a network and range of experience to help address client needs

• Provide compelling and well thought out solutions to problems of moderate complexity

• Experience of implementing at least one module of the relevant cloud platform (Workday or Oracle) (NB there is a strong preference for Payroll skills specifically) so you can bring your learnings to the client about what did (or didn’t!) work
