The Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) business unit at KPMG is looking for a Dynamics 365F&O Senior Finance Consultant with experience across all phases of large-scale enterprise Dynamics 365F&O projects. With a hands-on approach and solid understanding of finance process and procedures combined with knowledge of interfacing and integration with Dynamics products. A demonstrable history of consultancy experience is a must as this role will entail continuous interaction with clients and project teams working alongside both onshore and offshore development teams. This role will also require a level of presales activities focused around Dynamics F&O functionality and the wider Microsoft platform. You will also contribute to proposal development and provide input in business development whilst mentoring more junior staff.
 

This role is therefore key to KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions’ customer delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions. It is a dynamic and exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business area within an established and market-leading global Big 4 firm.

Responsibilities

  • Involvement in full end-to-end implementations and all phases of project life cycle
  • Involvement with D365FO interfaces and Integrations
  • Ability to gather and document functional requirements and complete gap/fit analysis

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in consulting and very good presentation skills
  • Ability to lead meetings and workshop, and confidently present to the C-Suite
  • Minimum of 4 years Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations (D365FO) or AX2012 implementation experience including the following modules and areas
    • General Ledger
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Accounts Payable
    • Cash and Bank Management
    • Budgeting
    • Project Management and Accounting
    • Fixed Assets
    • Management Reporter
  • Financial Consolidation and elimination experience
  • Experience with electronic banking file and tax reporting needs
  • Knowledge of Financial workflow and journal approval
  • Multi-legal entries experience

  • Experience with (D365FO) interfaces and Integrations
  • Good understanding of Accounting processes, principles, functionality & systems
  • Microsoft Dynamics certification in Finance, ideally most current version

  • Beneficial to have experience of LCS and Azure DevOps
  • Good MS Office skills (primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Visio is a plus)

KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions is building a world class Microsoft Dynamics Practice:  The team is focusing on advisory and implementation services that relate to the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM & ERP). This will include leading the implementation of these systems and engagements relating to Independent Programme Assurance where third parties are delivering such programmes. 

The Senior Solution Architect role is required to lead the technical delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM centred solutions on large complex programmes or a portfolio, drive deep technical expertise within DevOps and functional leadership within the practice to deliver quality, client-centric solutions. Provides deep industry expertise to build and cultivate strong business relationships at a senior level. The role will champion innovation both within the firm and with clients, sharing Thought Leadership within the practice across the relevant Industry specialism. Collaborating with the Global team to enhance the out of the box Dynamics functionality, giving KPMG a unique selling point and also a resalable asset. Takes a leading role in identifying development needs of team members and provides coaching, mentoring or stretch assignments to support individuals achieve their full potential as well as promoting collaboration across team.

 

Role Responsibilities 

  • Leads customer delivery of our Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM centred solutions on large, complex programmes or portfolios, through the management of a team of professionals and possibly with the contribution of cross-functional/team specialists

Programme Manager

 

The Programme Manager one or projects at any one time in an efficient and effective manner, and is responsible for their delivery within agreed timescales, budgets and conformance to agreed requirements. This person is also responsible for leading more junior PM’s and the efficient utilization of assigned staff and any associated third parties. They are accountable for ensuring that all project activities conform to the company’s quality management standards and processes.

 

Responsibilties

  • Plans and manages one or more projects assigned, keeping the customer and senior management informed about project progress;
  • Compiles and agrees the project plan with the client.
  • Compiles and agrees with the client any Statements of Work in line with contractual arrangements with the client.
  • Monitors progress against project plan and budget, correcting and / or escalating abnormal situations when necessary;
  • Maintains the Project Plan, in particular with forecast completion dates and impact analysis;
  • Tracks actual costs vs plan (using Microsoft project and our internal Dynamics AX time recording system);
  • Maintains awareness of all ongoing non-trivial problems towards their solution. Ensures that project objectives are met;
  • Monitors and controls all individuals allocated to the project ensuring that all project activities are carried out in accordance with the appropriate standards. This includes ensuring that activities are planned and executed in line with the KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions project delivery methodology;
  • Manages any third parties that may be involved as sub-contractors within the project, as relevant, and ensures that any deliverables are produced on time, to required quality standards, and in line with agreed commercials;
  • Ensures Risks and Issues are being correctly assessed and reported. Pro-actively predicts and mitigates risk;
  • Participates in client reporting sessions, including as relevant, weekly progress review meetings and (typically) monthly Steering Committee meetings
  • Tracks actual vs. budgeted costs and effort on a weekly basis;
  • Plans and monitors any validation activities with the customer to ensure that all requirements are met;
  • Plans and monitors any internal verification activities, including any reviews, walkthroughs and testing, and oversees the correction of non-conformities to ensure quality of all project deliverables;

  • Works very closely with the Solution Architect on an ongoing basis in ensuring the overall quality of deliverables prior to release to the client;

  • Participates in KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions resource management, utilisation and capacity planning processes.
  • Minimises non-billable resource utilisation on projects, and escalates as required with the Senior Programme Manager and Resourcing to optimise billable use of resources. Escalates any forecasted requirements for non-billable effort with the Senior Programme Manager in order to maintain awareness and if possible mitigate. Tracks non-billable effort against the project budget;
