You will work as part of our rapidly growing Tax Technology & Innovation team. KPMG is investing $5bn over 5 years in technology. You will lead a team that will be at the forefront of changing an entire industry, helping our clients adapt and make the most of technological advances to help them better manage their tax obligations.

 

You will lead a portfolio of projects and propositions, leading a team of business analysts and project delivery leads to work closely with our clients on groundbreaking solutions to solve their Tax challenges. You will work with the leadership of our tax and technology business to execute our business strategy as well as ensuring that we make the most of technological change. No prior experience in tax or accounting is necessary but previous experience will help in this role.

 

Role Overview

 

  • Build and lead a team of business analysts and project managers/delivery personnel
  • Communicate and meet with clients and senior leadership in T&L to understand business vision, challenges and where our technology services can help.  
  • Manage the scope and priorities across your portfolio of work, ensuring the work is managed to a high standard and prioritised accordingly.
  • Ensure your team is trained and effectively managing interactions with development teams to ensure that they understand the vision for the project and adhere to delivery timelines
  • Running steering/working group sessions with clients & business stakeholders  
  • Ensure effective tracking of business benefits realisation across the portfolio
  • Explain complex processes to the tax teams and our clients in a simple, easy to understand way
  • Manage portfolio development budget and manage budget requests for future development pipeline
  • Translate complex user experiences into software requirements

 

Experience and Background

 

  • Experience leading a portfolio of products or data services
  • Experience managing, leading and developing teams
  • Strong background in business analysis & project delivery
  • Passionate about delivering an excellent service to clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Requirements engineering and documentation
  • Experience working on both scrum & waterfall projects
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies & collaboration tools
  • Experience leading on client facing data and AI propositions
  • Experience working with  low code tools & platforms like Alteryx, Power Platform and Fabric (desirable)
  • Experience managing .NET web application development teams
  • Experience implementing technology for clients to use. 
  • Strong academic track record in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or similar, relevant course (desirable)
  • Experience in a product development environment, including as a Senior BA or Product Owner with state-of-the-art software systems
  • Experience working across a geographically diverse team.
