- Dynamic & Collaborative Environment: Join a fast-growing, intellectually curious team that thrives on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. You'll benefit from the support of a strong and ambitious leadership team and contribute to a culture where collective success is celebrated.
- London Advantage: Based in our modern CSQ office, you'll be integrated into a broader London regional team, offering extensive networking opportunities and exposure to a wide array of tax specialists.
Your Impact and Responsibilities as a Senior Manager:
As a key leader within our Tax Governance & Risk Management team, you will:
- Expert Advisory: Provide specialist advice to clients on developing and implementing robust tax governance frameworks, including:
- Identifying and mitigating global tax risks.
- Designing and embedding sustainable tax control frameworks to meet international tax authority requirements.
- Advising on the tax risk implications within broader tax transformation and technology projects.
- Ensuring compliance with Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) and Corporate Criminal Offence (CCO) regulations.
- Preparing for and managing HMRC business risk reviews.
- Assisting with the development, documentation, and publication of clients' tax strategies.
- Guiding clients through global tax transparency and sustainability reporting requirements.
- Liaising effectively with HMRC on tax governance-related matters.
- Business Development: Proactively seek out and pursue new opportunities, actively participating in business development activities alongside Directors and Partners, including managing proposals, delivering compelling tender documents, and presenting at client pitches.
- Team Leadership & Development: Take ownership of coaching, developing, and inspiring more junior members of the team, fostering their technical skills, and accelerating their career growth within KPMG.
- Operational & Strategic Contribution: Manage aspects of the team’s operations and performance, including strategic resourcing, and contribute to the broader development and expansion of the firm's tax governance offering.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with specialists across various departments within the UK and our extensive overseas network to oversee their input into multidisciplinary tax advisory projects.
What You'll Bring:
- We are looking for individuals who are not only technically excellent but also possess the drive, curiosity, and leadership to excel in this specialized and high-impact area.
- Proven experience in winning and leading a range of complex tax governance projects, similar to those outlined above.
- ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent qualification, complemented by strong corporate tax and accounting knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and lead staff, fostering a high-performance team culture, alongside effectively managing senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills, with the confidence and ability to lead engaging workshops and training sessions for clients and colleagues.
- Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with strong oral and written communication abilities, enabling effective client engagement and successful collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Well-developed analytical skills and a sharp commercial acumen, allowing you to resolve complex issues and provide pragmatic, value-added advice.
- A proactive approach to identifying and progressing business opportunities, always with the long-term benefit of both KPMG and our clients in mind.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and client relationships concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
