The opportunity to earn a salary while working towards a fully-funded qualification is an ideal alternative to traditional university. And that’s exactly what an apprenticeship at KPMG offers. If you join us in Audit or Tax, by the end of your apprenticeship you’ll have the same qualifications as our graduate colleagues, with five years of hands-on experience. You get a real head start in your career, all whilst earing a competitive salary. 

In fact, there are no limits to your progression within the firm, as you learn how to make the difference for clients and the wider community. We’ll encourage you to take on real responsibility from the outset of your apprenticeship with the support of senior leaders and your team. That way, you can develop your business skills and confidence and learn how to build trusted relationships with clients.

Your apprenticeship will start with an immersive five-day induction and from there the learning opportunities are endless. As well as dedicated study time and a tutor to help you pass your exams, you’ll have plenty of chance for on-the-job learning and to build a broad base of business skills, whilst collaborating with colleagues across the firm.

You’ll also have access to personalised learning recommendations from our AI assistant, SPARK, which gets to know you and can suggest the most relevant content to help you develop new skills and grow over the course of your programme and beyond.

Technology plays a vital role in the way we support our clients with their complex business challenges. We’ll give you the resources you need to adopt the latest technology or even become part of our KPMG Digital Ninja programme. Our Digital Ninja community are junior colleagues who get exclusive access to new technology, tools and tech training – sharing their expertise with colleagues and helping to our firm adapt to a constantly evolving technology landscape.

Our apprenticeships are well-structured programmes that will prepare you for a range of new career challenges. In fact, in just five years, you will have become professionally qualified and have the experience and knowledge to progress within the firm and build a successful long-term career.

At all times, you’ll be able to thrive with us through the support of managers, mentors, buddies and your peer group. Working together each day, our apprentices build life-long friendships.

Each of our apprentices has six days a year of volunteering leave. It’s a great chance to give back and support a cause that’s important to you. 

What’s more, you’ll benefit from our flexible, hybrid working policies. That’s because we balance the convenience of working from home with the importance of collaborating or learning in our offices, or client sites. We trust our people to be where they need to be. The amount of days you’ll be required to come to the office will differ from team to team and week to week - depending on the needs of your clients, projects and study.
