The Team
Our Digital Lighthouse Data & Analytics team is a specific area of focus and growth for KPMG. Structurally, we sit in the Technology practice of our Digital Lighthouse Consulting division and are aligned to the Corporates coverage group.
We provide strategic, organisational and technical advisory work for our clients that allows them to exploit their information and maximise value from data assets.
Given the significant demand in the marketplace we are looking to hire multiple individuals with expertise in at least one of the following areas: Data & Information Management, Information Exploitation or Advanced Analytics.

The Role
The successful candidate will:
• Manage projects and workstreams from strategy to execution within Financial Services focusing on digital transformation with use of latest data and technology in such
• Support senior client stakeholders (CFO, CDO, CIO) to cultivate relationships as a trusted partner, through articulating and realising the value of data and technology
• Identify, scope and develop ideation opportunities with clients (PoCs, MVPs), and support the creation of RFP responses
• Develop client solutions across the creation to consumption of ideation lifecycle (idea generation, problem statement, use cases, technology & data sourcing, management, PoC/MVP build, reporting)
• Manage and monitor engagement financials, profitability metrics and ensure invoices are billed to the client appropriately
• Providing data analytics services using software such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Python and R to deliver meaningful insights to our clients and help them to understand the risks and key drivers for their business
• Build data frameworks, accelerators, alliances with big (cloud/data) and small tech (FinTech), and points of view to support sales and solve key client issues
• Leverage their understanding of key technology vendors and trends in the marketplace to deliver engagements
• Develop our people through coaching, mentoring, formal performance management and creating an inclusive working environment
• Use their people management experience to lead combined project teams of client and KPMG data analytics professionals, and develop knowledge in the KPMG team

Skills and experience required
• experience of data & analytics or technology experience in Financial Services or Capital Markets with a professional services firm, an internal strategy/analytics group, or similar environment
• Data & Analytics or Technology experience supporting or leading solutions in Retail or Corporate Banking, Insurance, Wealth & Asset Management or Capital Markets
• Demonstrable experience of complex data projects covering the full creation to consumption data lifecycle (data sourcing, management, quality, reporting & analytics)
• An SME in Information Exploitation or Advanced Analytics ideally on cloud infrastructure
• Drafting and analysis of RFPs or Business Cases for data, technology and product offering

The capabilities within the Clara Analytics Team are vast as they are unique: from Innovations – spearheading the creation of audit applications such as the Inventory Count Tool, and Confirmations Tool, to the performance of D&A procedures by the ERP, General Ledger and Bespoke capabilities. At the face of the team, the Business Relationship Group bridge the gap between audit teams and D&A specialists – providing one point of contact for D&A interpretation, queries and support.

The Role:
Analytics projects involve extracting, analysing and visualising data to support audit, and at times advisory engagements.
An assistant manager with a focus on analytics would typically be responsible for ensuring the quality, value and timely delivery of a significant number of engagements. This will include supporting delivery of the high demand for data and analytics for some of our largest and most complex audits. An ideal candidate would be looking to step up to perform technical reviews within the first few months on the job.
There is also an opportunity to get involved in product development and innovation activities, to ensure that KPMG’s analytics capability remains market leading on a global scale, as well as the development of our analytics specialists within the team.
Responsibilities
• Critically assessing structured and semi-structured data, identifying issues and inconsistencies that need to be solved before running the analysis
• Performing D&A audit procedures using appropriate tools – primarily, Alteryx Designer
• Presenting the analysis results using MS PowerBi visualisation technology and MS Excel
• Preparing documentation of D&A work and deliverables for use by audit teams
• An ideal candidate would be looking to become a Reviewer within the first 6 months, including but not limited to:
• reviewing the work performed by analysts in the team to ensure the quality of the output is appropriate;
• overseeing work of junior analysts; and
• monitoring budgets and delivery timelines
• Stakeholder management, including but not limited to:
• regular dialogue with audit teams and management to manage expectations on deliverables;
• interpret D&A output to audit teams to enable them to fully understand the reports; and
• as a Reviewer, act as an escalation point for analysts

Within Clara, our ‘ERP Analytics’ capability performs a large amount of assurance and at times advisory engagements, helping businesses and us get more value out of their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Business Management systems, specifically SAP, Oracle as well as GRC and/or data analytical solutions on top of the ERP.
Our projects include extracting, analysing and visualising data from our client’s ERP systems to support engagements covering process control, process & control optimisation, business data analytics, security, and ERP related GRC services. This work is delivered through stand-alone assignments, or as part of external and internal audit, or wider advisory engagements.

A Manager with a focus on ERP analytics would typically be responsible for ensuring the quality, value, and timely delivery of a significant number of engagements. This will include supporting delivery of the high demand for data and analytics for some of our largest global and most complex engagements.

Alongside this, you would be responsible for supporting growth of the ERP analytics capability by supporting the development of new business from existing clients across the firm, as well as new prospects.

As a Manager, you will also get involved in product development and innovation activities, to ensure that KPMG’s ERP analytics capability remains market leading on a global scale, as well as the development of our ERP analytics specialists.

• “Big 4” professional services or dynamic IT consultancy environment experience (Desirable).
• Supporting service line through innovation and knowledge management.
• SAP Certifications (Desirable).
• Accounting Audit Qualifications: ACA or equivalent (Desirable).
• IT Assurance Qualification CISA or equivalent. (Desirable)
• Preferably degree educated or proven commercially demonstrated experience.
