The Role
As a consultant in cloud services, you will be helping clients in their cloud transformation journeys and will join our highly talented and passionate cloud technology team. At KPMG, your primary responsibility will be to focus on delivery of compelling solutions from our wide portfolio of Cloud offerings across markets. You will work with teams of our experienced cloud SMEs and will be at the forefront of some of the most exciting, complex and leading-edge transformation work in the UK and likely in Europe.

The Cloud Consultant role requires:
• Working collaboratively in larger teams or be an individual contributor in client engagements

The Role



Senior architects are required to use their industry experience and subject matter knowledge to provide services in the following areas:



Market Development




Working with colleagues to identify and develop specific engagement opportunities translating potential demand into new engagements

The Person




Required




Expert understanding of relevant government standards, policies and procedures



Extensive experience of designing and delivering architectures in-line with Government Digital Service policies and standards for various Infrastructure, government and healthcare clients



Proven skills in Enterprise or Cloud architecture including defining or utilising TOGAF, or industry equivalent, standards as well as Agile delivery methodologies



Previous experience of working on large complex, multi-year, business and technology transformation programmes in an advisory / consulting capacity



Typically, candidates would have a proven track record of working with IGH clients at a Skills For The Information Age levels 6 and 7 – Initiate/Influence and Set Strategy/Inspire



Extensive experience working in a collaborative way with multiple capabilities from DevOps to Data Science



Experience with Digital and Cloud migration from “On Prem” to Public Cloud or Multi-Cloud platforms



Ability to have deep technical level discussions with engineers, to explaining the business benefits of a range of technologies to non-technical partners and clients who have business issues to overcome



Ability to build new and leverage existing client relationships to drive Cloud Architecture business



Excellent stakeholder management and relationship skills at C suite level both internally and client facing



Experience of common Operating Systems, Networking concepts, Databases, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services.



Security first – How to design, migrate and embed security control’s in Cloud solutions



Desirable


Good knowledge of Well Architected Frameworks across the three major cloud providers
