KPMG’s Pensions is an exciting initiative to re-establish the pensions team, and specifically to focus on public service pensions advisory and grow revenue at pace. We are now looking for talented and experienced Consultant to join our pensions actuarial team. You will be responsible for delivering high quality actuarial pensions advice in relation to defined benefit pension schemes with a focus on the public sector but also schemes in the private sector. You will be responsible for will work closely with the senior members of the team in this service line, which will involve providing: Strategic journey planning, risk management aiming for self-sufficiency or buy out and endgame options including use of surplus Strategic funding advice to sponsors and advice on compliance with DB funding code Pension due diligence on mergers and acquisitions Provision of member education and communication Advice on benefit change, benefit design and implementation Advice on good governance and compliance Pensions accounting advice

Our Transaction Services practice comprises approximately 500 people across the UK, organised to align to KPMG’s market orientated structure, and is at the heart of the Firm's agenda to increase its penetration of boardrooms and work with clients across the economic and transaction cycle.  Our team works closely with colleagues across Deal Advisory as well as Tax, Audit and other Advisory teams; it is a multi-disciplinary and international environment that sits right at the heart of our One Firm agenda. Role Summary

 

KDN for Audit is a critical component of delivering the Global ESG Assurance strategy, and is fundamental to ensuring member firms can scale their assurance practices’ in a rapidly changing market. 

 

Our vision is that the KDN ESG Assurance team will support every ESG Assurance engagement across the global network with access to market leading expertise and highly standardised services so they can deliver consistently high quality. The CSRD in the EU is expected to create a multi-billion dollar opportunity for KPMG in ESG assurance, but in order to meet demand, we will need a significant amount of capacity and subject matter experience. KDN will be the only way member firms can meet the scale of this challenge, and is a truly transformative opportunity for the firm.
