The professional services market is sizeable and will continue to grow, and the Asset Management and Private Equity practice is a successful and growing segment of FS and a Global Strategic Priority for the firm. Following approval from the Global Board for investment in the AM and PE sectors to grow substantially over the next 3-4 years, there are plans to grow the UK AM business to over £300m. Consulting is the highest growth capability in Asset Management and Private Equity with plans to grow the AM Consulting business to £40m over the next 3 years. The Role

You will be a Senior Manager within our Wealth and Asset Management Consulting Business and will be helping both grow our business and ensure our teams deliver high quality advice to clients. You should expect to be involved in a wide range of challenging client engagements across the traditional Asset Management space working on projects related to strategy, process improvement, operating model design, RFP, vendor selection and in particular ESG, which is regarded as a key growth area for the business. As a Senior Manager you will be expected to lead the delivery of client projects, manage engagements and be the day to day KPMG contact for client and KPMG teams. It is also expected that you will lead and manage junior resources and KPMG teams as part of project delivery.
As a Senior Manager you will also be expected to support the Director and Partner Team with business development activities such as proposals, pitches and development of the consulting propositions such as ESG. As a Senior Manager you will be expected to lead on proposals and RFP responses with the support of other members of the team.
In addition to supporting the build out of the client proposition for ESG and other offerings, you will also be expected to support the development of the practice in a broader sense, such as through the development and nurturing of junior talent, training, internal communications and contribution to the positive culture and supportive working environment.

Responsibilities

Management and delivery of challenging, complex client engagements to ensure quality and value to our clients by:
• Understanding the industry context, their business challenges, the opportunities and the threats our clients face
• Helping clients navigate the increasingly complex operations, technology and data landscape including vendors in the market
• Supporting with the definition of new operating models, business models and processes to optimise the business
• Coaching and developing team members through sharing of experience and knowledge, as well as managing the performance and development of other team members

The Person
We expect that you will have:
• Significant number of years of professional experience in either consulting or asset management
• Strong experience in project delivery, transformation and business change from within a fund manager, a fund administrator or another management consultancy
• Good understanding of the operational and technological challenges associated with asset management
• An interest in ESG is strongly preferable with direct experience in ESG within asset management advantageous
• A track record within the Wealth & Asset Management industry with a sound understanding of the industry trends, key themes and challenges
• Proven expertise in Project Management and delivery of projects on time, within scope and of high quality
