KPMG Overview

Joining KPMG means joining a talented team of exceptional colleagues who bring innovative thoughts and a natural curiosity to the work they do each day. No one type of person succeeds at KPMG; a diverse business requires diverse personalities, characters and perspectives. There really is a place for you here.

Job Description

At KPMG, our values define who we are and the way we do business. As a leading professional services firm, we know that our strength and capability come from our people – their different perspectives, experiences and backgrounds. From our inclusive leadership strategy to our diversity and inclusion targets – we’re making bold changes to who we are and what we do. Be part of it.

The Company Secretarial and Global Entity Management Team sits within KPMG Law. Its establishment flows naturally from KPMG’s long history of successfully delivering multidisciplinary services to clients. Its vision is to be the corporate secretarial adviser of choice for KPMG’s clients in relation to compliance and governance matters.

Over the next few years, this team will grow, and KPMG Law as a whole will expand into other areas of law that fit within its vision and the needs of KPMG’s clients.

KPMG Law is for people who are:

  • Team players who enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and disciplines.
  • Approachable people who are keen to develop personally and professionally.
  • People with a passion for a career within the field of governance and compliance services.
  • Intellectually curious, open-minded and analytical people, with an eye for detail and pride in their work.
  • Driven and proactive professionals who deliver a great service to their clients.
  • Relationship builders who can spot and develop new opportunities both within the KPMG network and externally.
  • Flexible people who are able to deal with a fluid, changing work environment.

Why you might want to join KPMG Global Entity Management:

  • You want to continue to develop in your career within the company secretarial profession.
  • You can see the advantages of professional advice being provided within a multidisciplinary team.
  • You are ambitious and perceive the wealth of opportunities presented by a company secretarial team in a leading global professional services firm.
  • You are excited by being a member of a team that will continue to grow significantly.
  • You want to broaden your experience and become a well-rounded professional.
  • You want to achieve a sustainable work-life balance.

What the key responsibilities of the role are:

This role is instrumental in supporting the success of the Company Secretarial and Global Entity Management team by helping to secure high-quality new clients, expanding services within existing accounts, and contributing to the team’s financial and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key relationship manager during client onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition into KPMG and appropriate allocation to company secretarial team members. Support senior colleagues in aligning client needs with the right level of expertise.
  • Mentor and support junior team members in developing their client relationships and managing accounts effectively.
  • Collaborate with corporate legal teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities for the team and KPMG Law.
  • Assist Partners in achieving the team’s commercial and financial targets.
  • Prepare persuasive proposal documents and actively contribute to the development of client opportunities.
  • Lead and support business development initiatives, both internally and externally, to drive team growth and market presence.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external networks to enhance the team’s profile and visibility.
  • Ensure compliance with risk management processes across all client engagements.
  • Foster strong, collaborative working relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Maintain and regularly report on the new business pipeline to Partners, taking ownership of its accuracy and progress.
  • Review existing client contracts to ensure services remain relevant and profitable. Support client relationship managers in conducting client reviews and, where appropriate, renegotiate terms to improve margins or realign service scope.
  • Monitor and manage financial performance across client accounts, including revenue tracking, profitability analysis, and forecasting.
  • Support budgeting and resource planning activities to ensure efficient allocation of team resources in line with financial goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on financial performance, pricing strategies, and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Stay informed on market developments and emerging trends, ensuring the team remains agile and responsive to evolving client needs.

Education and qualifications:

  • The applicant will ideally have a degree qualification.
  • CGI qualified with significant company secretarial experience.

Skills and Experience Required:

Experience working in a professional services firm and within a company secretarial environment and able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven track record of working with high profile company secretarial clients.
  • Strong technical capabilities across a range of company secretarial matters
  • Confidence to be able to quickly establish credibility with clients.
  • Experienced in managing client relationships.
  • Experienced in supervising and training junior colleagues.
  • The applicant will have a strong network in company secretarial and legal.
  • Strong organisational, attention to detail and personal skills are essential.
  • Proven track record of project management and leadership skills.
