About this Team
KPMG's global Brand & Marketing team is dedicated to enhancing the firm's brand perception and driving impactful marketing strategies worldwide. The team works collaboratively to develop and execute cohesive marketing campaigns that align with KPMG's long-term strategy and business objectives.
As part of the global Brand & Marketing team, the Sector and Cross-Industry Channels Marketing team is dedicated to driving growth and enhancing brand positioning across various sectors and channels globally. They develop and execute strategic marketing plans, create high-quality content, and optimize event sponsorships to increase brand impact by collaborating closely with sector heads and their leadership teams.
Role summary
Create and implement global sector marketing campaigns to enhance member firm adoption. Work with cross-functional teams to produce quality content, optimize event sponsorships, manage budgets, and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Key Accountabilities
Marketing strategy and planning
- Assist the Global Head of Sector and Channels Marketing in developing and executing sector-led global marketing campaigns.
- Develop marketing plans and overarching positioning for assigned sector verticals, collaborating with global sector heads to align business needs and marketing plans.
- Utilize and interpret market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning, applying insights to guide strategic content development.
- Identify unique brand awareness opportunities to close the gap with non-clients through established industry outlets and forums.
Campaign content creation, customization, and execution
- Lead the development and oversee the production of sector-specific thought leadership and content, ensuring it meets global marketing’s quality standards.
- Customize select global functional campaigns for sector-specific needs, collaborating with bridge campaign leads and global sector leadership teams for effective execution.
- Optimize sector event sponsorships to increase brand impact and member firm lead generation, coordinating marketing activities around global industry event sponsorships.
- Prepare and distribute marketing toolkits to member firms, ensuring high quality, timely distribution, and ease of customization.
Stakeholder management and internal networking
- Act as a strategic marketing partner to global sector heads, treating them as internal clients and ensuring their external marketing needs are met.
- Maintain regular communication with marketing contacts within member firms to support the adoption and implementation of global sector campaigns.
- Collaborate effectively with global sector heads and member firm marketers to ensure alignment and maximize the impact of marketing initiatives, providing regular updates on strategy, adjustments, campaign progress, and performance.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with functional marketing, marketing shared services, brand management, internal communications, media relations, social media, digital marketing, and the analyst community to enhance brand reach.
Budget and campaign management
- Oversee the management of allocated marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of funds and adherence to financial targets.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of global content and events, using metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide detailed reports on budget utilization and campaign impact, highlighting significant insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Ensure expenses are kept within 15% of quarterly forecasts, addressing any variances promptly.
Experience / Knowledge / Qualification
- Strong marketing experience, preferably within professional services, a marketing agency, or a similar corporate setting—ideally with a focus on the banking, capital markets, or insurance sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, business or communications or equivalent work experience.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proven track record of driving successful marketing campaigns and achieving business goals.
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative marketing strategies.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP or ABM are a plus.
