Job Title: Azure Cloud Engineer

Base Location: London – (Hybrid working – 2 days in the offices)

 

The KPMG Audit Technology team is dedicated to building cutting-edge solutions in close collaboration with the Audit function. We blend audit expertise with the latest technology, enabling us to understand the challenges our customers face daily and develop indispensable products that simplify their lives while promoting Audit Quality.

The KPMG Clara engineering team is dedicated to building cutting-edge Analytics and AI products for our Audit business. We blend audit expertise with the latest cloud technologies to build and run products that simplify the lives of our audit colleagues while promoting Audit Quality.

 

As a crucial member of the team, you will collaborate with a talented mix of Product Owners/Managers, Solution, Cloud and Enterprise Architects, Experience Designers, Business Analysts, and Testing specialists to build, deliver, and manage a portfolio of truly exciting products.

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join the KPMG Audit Technology team which is dedicated to building cutting-edge solutions in close collaboration with the Audit function, enabling us to understand the challenges our customers face daily and develop indispensable products that simplify their lives while promoting Audit Quality.

As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate with a talented mix of Product Owners/Managers, Solution, Cloud and Enterprise Architects, Experience Designers, Business Analysts, and Testing specialists. Together, we build, deliver, and manage a portfolio of truly exciting products.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Automate like your life depends on it
  • Get things done. Use the DevOps culture to bring capabilities together and ship projects  
  • Obsess over quality and measure key metrics to drive improvement such as DORA 
  • Take an interest in researching and analysing new technologies and trends 
  • Take technical responsibility for your code and ensure its quality and reliability
  • Perform code reviews and pair-program with other team members 

 

What will you need to do it?

  • Experience in designing and building infrastructure using a DevOps mindset, preferably in Azure or the other main public cloud providers including AWS/GCP 
  • Proficiency building secure, scalable and distributed systems in the cloud
  • Experience using containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes etc) 
  • Experience with IaC such as Terraform 
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling (Github Actions, CircleCI etc)
  • Ability to manage key stakeholders, including clients on engagements with effective communication skills 

 

Skills we’d love to see/Amazing Extras:

  • Experience building infrastructure testing within the pipeline for automated deployments
  • Knowledge of Data Engineering principles and practices
  • Ability to use and also contribution to open-source technologies 
  • Knowledge of test automation

Our Locations:

This position will be based from our London offices, with 2 days per week in the Canary Wharf office
