We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Engineer to join the KPMG Audit Technology team which is dedicated to building cutting-edge solutions in close collaboration with the Audit function, enabling us to understand the challenges our customers face daily and develop indispensable products that simplify their lives while promoting Audit Quality.

 

As an Azure Data Engineer you will be a crucial member of the Data Solutions team, you will collaborate with a talented mix of Product Owners/Managers, Solution, Cloud and Enterprise Architects, Experience Designers, Business Analysts, and Testing specialists to design and build products that transform and refine audit processes through the integration of advanced analytics and AI. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of our client delivery products.

 

What will you be doing?

 

  • Design, build and test AI and advanced analytics products that cover the end-to-end lifecycle of an audit engagement.
  • Extract/ingest structured and unstructured data from various sources, including ERP systems, databases, SaaS applications, Data Lakes, Delta Shares and other relevant platforms.
  • Automate, clean and transform raw data to align with KPMG Common Data Models and implementing data quality checks/validation procedures to identify and resolve anomalies or irregularities.
  • Automate testing of audit objectives through the latest analytics and data science techniques.
  • Coach and upskill junior team members, creating a working culture characterised by collaboration, continuous improvement and commitment to high performance.

 

What will you need to do it?

 

  • Extensive experience in SQL or PySpark.
  • Experience in the Microsoft Azure Data stack including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Power BI.
  • Experience in designing and building data engineering solutions using a DevOps mindset (inc. associated tooling).
  • Experience of working across end-to-end software development, technology or consulting projects (strategy, discovery, design, development and deployment).
  • Experience explaining complex processes and circumstances in technical and non-technical terms to ensure all understand.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, handle quickly changing priorities, and be capable of managing yourself to achieve maximum results.

  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional Certification
